Man, this is why nearly every team but the Wings completely sucks. The majority of the teams in the league rely 100% on goaltending, if the goalie plays poorly, they'll lose nearly every game. The Wings, Devils, Sharks and Calgary (maybe Boston) are really the only "complete" teams in my mind, who don't rely on one area of the game to win their games. You should hear the bulls*** that comes out of Canucks fans when Loungo lets in 2 goals a night. It's so pathetic.

Stars, Ducks and Wild are all really in melt-down mode. They have no reason not to succeed, and yet have no urgency to actually try and make the play-offs. They have no heart, no work, no determination. That's why teams like Edmonton and St. Louis are where they are, passion.

Just curious, has anyone heard the argument about playing in a weak division for San Jose this year.

I know people were always quick to use that to dismiss the Wings. This year it looks like the Sharks will be the only team from their division to make the playoffs.

Anyone did the math? what is required from wings and sharks for wings to end at no.1 in WC? Sharks need to loose atleast one more in regulation while red wings must win em all?

I believe we just have to win one more game than the sharks do...so it could very well go down to the last game.

What's so stupid about that, if the sharks loose one more game in regulation and the wings win the rest wings will finish 1st? If the sharks win the rest of their games and wings do the same sharks will finish 1st because they got one game in hand
