Mac played a great game but when he got beat the defense was there. End of story.

Btw Osgood made over 40 saves in the Dallas overtime loss. Horrible defense in that game as well.

It is embarrassing. The Red Wings decided to loft along for forty minutes, and then try their third period stint again like they always do, but it backfired. It's not going to work in the playoffs either, no matter if Conklin or Ozzie is in net.

Wow, the last 5 seconds of that game defined it. Wings players moves up the side of the boards, winds up to take a shot with 3-4 seconds left, instead turns around and dicks off with it for the last couplel seconds of the game.

This is something the Wings needed. They have been playing half-assed pretty sporadically this month, and I can't think of a better team to get shut out to seven games away from the playoffs than the Islanders.

Take a lesson away from this one and recollect when you get lazy in the playoffs.
