so since Vancouver won and clinched the Northwest, that means the Blackhawks play the Flames in round 1, right?

Correct. I believe it is the only match-up that is set in stone as of now.

Boston handed the President's Trophy to San Jose today.

As far as the two important games, I think Anaheim will have no trouble with Phoenix at all.....Columbus/Minn? Might be a little closer, I still think the Jackets will take it. Anyhow, looks like Anaheim will be the Wings' 1st round opponent.

Phoenix beat up on San Jose Thursday night, handing them a 4-1 loss. I don't think it will be that easy for the Ducks. Go Coyotes!

Okay, a quick rundown on the scenarios, please:

If Minnesota and Phoenix win tonight... then?

We root for St Louis to beat Colorado tomorrow.

Things looking good for us at the moment not having to travel to the West coast for round 1. Colorado's game went into overtime meaning they might be a little more tired against St Louis tomorrow on the back to back and Anaheim is losing which could swap the two in the standings. Though the Anaheim game is young, Columbus is losing meaning even if Anaheim comes back Columbus can fall into the 7th spot putting our road games within driving distance.

Montreal losing again tonight and Florida won again. If they didn't get that one point the other day they'd be out of the playoffs!

Anyways, that won't change, they'll go out first round to Boston.

All of the match ups in the East are set. Not sure if Philly can get home ice with a win tomorrow, but they win play the Pens regardless. In the West Hawks-Flames; Nucks-Jackets are go if the Ducks don't rally tonight (losing 4-2 after two).

EDIT: Hey hey! The Boyd with a hat trick for the Leafs!
