10 Minute Misconduct 104 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 When San Jose loses this series, they should change their name to the San Jose Gunnar Stahls. They'll lose everygame in a shootout when their star misses on the triple deke. San Jose Tuna Fish?
C-TownWing 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 Nobody else is worried about this Ducks defense are they? Sure I am. Just less than I'm worried about the Canucks goaltending
Duck Guy 86 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 (edited) so wait, whos the #1 seed? If i didn't know anything about hockey and turned on VS i wouldnt believe San Jose was the best team in the NHL I think the problem is SJS players think you win the cup for being the best team during the regular season. And they think these are just exhibition games at the end of the season. Edited April 24, 2009 by Duck Guy
RockyMountainWingGal 108 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 (edited) Ice is tilted toward the Ducks. Nobody else is worried about this Ducks defense are they? Absolutely. But the Wings handled the Ducks well in the 4 meetings this season. As long as our PP is clicking - they take so many penalties - that should give us a good advanatge. Our forwards will take it to the Ducks defense far more than this bunch of lackluster chumps. edit: Ducks lack any scoring depth too. Getzlaf, Selanne, and now this Ryan kid...not much after that Edited April 24, 2009 by RockyMountainWingGal
YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 Nobody else is worried about this Ducks defense are they? It hasn't even been tested. Setoguchi, Thronton, Michalek are all invisible, and Marleau is injured. They don't even look like they want to be there.
C-TownWing 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 (edited) Ryan needs to get 1 more goal and 2 more glass breaks... Whenever someone scores two and shatters glass (I mean REAL shattering, not knocking a whole pane back into the seats), it will henceforth be known as a Bobby Ryan Hat Trick. Nice ring to it. YoungGuns1340 1 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 Only real thing i'd be worried about with the ducks would be Pronger/Perry goonin it up as always That'll just put us on the PP. We're talking about a lesser team than the 2007 Ducks, whom we gave a good run for their money WITHOUT Kronwall and Schneider, which (obviously) had an effect on our PP chances. Now, if we were gonna play the Ducks WITHOUT Kronwall, Rafalski, and only 1 solid scoring line instead of 3, then I might be worried.

aflac9262 211 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 The Sharks should have never went 0-2 at home to start this series. What a damn joke, considering the type of team they have. They're becoming like the St. Louis Blues, born to fail.

These Ducks are not the regular season Ducks. I just hope if the Wings get them they don't underestimate them like years past. I'm sure they're going to underestimate them after they've had our number in they playoffs? If the Wings didn't underestimate frickin San Jose, they won't underestimate the Ducks. If ANYTHING, the Ducks are more likely to underestimate us. Assuming they beat the #1 seed, they'll probably expect the Wings to fold similarly.

Great point--the BJs beat us 3 times in 6 games, one of those being 8-2 at the Joe. It doesn't matter. The core of that team is playoff tested (and they passed said test) and will be ready for us. It's not that I WANT to play them as much as I want to avoid the Canucks.
Duck Guy 86 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 (edited) I will be filled with so much unimaginable joy if the sharks lose this series... with all the shark fans talking ish on the duck fans making it sound like they have 2 fans in the ponda and that none of the fans know anything about hockey. I was on the sjs board thru games 1-3 but now I dont bother they are a bunch of self righteous, pricks that have a superiority complex.... lol time to simmer down...
