evilmrt 636 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 Caps will take this one, they're playing elimination and it will be enough to get them over the hump. 4-2.
EuroTwin 240 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 Go Caps! At least make it a series... I'm thinking AO or Feds will score tonight.
Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 I really, really like this Caps team. Unfortunately, they just don't have the same spunk as a front runner they had last year as an underdog. Rangers shock everyone, especially me who gave them no chance in this series, and close it out tonight.
Mors 201 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 GO RANGERS!
Mike 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 I want some OT hockey tonight. I think this game could provide that.
Jocke 53 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 Rangers might have a chance if Lundqvist turns into a wall again, but otherwise they need to learn how to score goals in order to win the series..

Theophany 110 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 Ovechkins team gets eliminated....does this end the Crosby/Ovechkin debate? It was over a long time ago, IMO. Ovechkin is great for the game, and Cindy Crosby is a whiner.
softshoes 83 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 Ovechkins team gets eliminated....does this end the Crosby/Ovechkin debate? New debate: is it a wise decision to set your stick on fire to warm your hands before the playoffs?
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted April 24, 2009 Might not watch this game, but should, at very least, keep an eye on it.

Mike 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 It would certainly help compensate for the lack of a late game today. It does feel weird to only have one game on tonight. It was nice having 3-4 per night.
Yak19 303 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 (edited) Caps will force a 6th game at least. Ovie with 2 tonight Green with 1 Fleishmann with 1 4-1 Caps Edited April 24, 2009 by Yak19

Coolio Mendez 7 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 (edited) Alex Ovechin has 35 shots and ONE goal! If you WATCH the games then you would see what I have seen. The Caps are a bunch of wimps. Take 1,000 shots and Lundqvist without bodies in front of the net and you won't score on any. You need players going hard to the net and setting screens and paying the price! Viktor Kozlov is a huge WIMP. Brashear is willing to pay the price but too slow to get there. Ovechkin gets the puck AND SHOOTS everytime....goalies are onto his selfishness (Luongo was quoted recently as saying he loved to face him because he always knows what he is going to do).....PASS the puck or SLOW IT down and wait for some traffic in front of Henrik....tips, deflections, shots he can't see.....good things will happen BUT Ovechkin is an MVP alright.......the guy has BRUTAL hockey sense. Case in point.....35 shots and is it any wonder that the ONLY game they WIN is the one where he had two ASSISTS and only 5 shots? They will never win anything unless he starts reading the ice better and stops being so SELFISH. Real team guy. Now I see why 29 out of the 30 NHL GMs prefer Crosby to Ovechkin. Interesting point...I'm not going to pile on the guy that hard, he's obviously a tremendous player, but he had a few more goals (about 10, IIRC) than Parise, Carter, etc. and probably TWICE as many shots (I'm at work, can't look up the exact numbers). It's hard to believe that he didn't leave at least a few opportunities on the table streaking down the wing and firing an easy save on net. LET'S GO RAN-GERS! (but I think the Caps take this one)
Mike 0 Report post Posted April 24, 2009 (edited) Yeah and last I checked the Pens were leading their series... The Pens have a deeper team. That's why Ovie is taking so many shots per game. Once you get past that first line the talent dries up pretty fast compared to the Pens. Edited April 24, 2009 by Mike
