Opie 308 Report post Posted April 27, 2009 Actually the NFL, Ronnie Lott had a badly injured finger and I believe they amputated it at the half so he could play the second half. Some stories say he cut it off on the bench but I am not sure. Actually funny side story, Macfarlane toys made a legends of the game series and Ronnie Lott and his half a left pinky are included. Do you remember the QB a few decades ago that got half the skin on his face ripped off and instead of coming out of the game he just caked dirt and mud on it to stop the bleeding so he could continue to play.
