It's on Versus here. We don't get FSN

We DO if you pay for the sports channels and this game on Versus was NOT supposed to be exclusive coverage. So those of us who have the sports channels SHOULD be getting this game.

Mo'f'ckers.....

This is why many people (myself included) have complained all year that having a soft lineup will catchup with you eventually in the future.

Right now Anaheim has us off our game with these scrums and battles along the boards that we're losing. Wings players haven't been accustomed to this kind of play all season.

Bottom line is that the Wings are soft on the puck and appear to be afraid to crash the net against Anaheim's bigger, more physical team.

Right. Those big North Americans like Blake, Boyle, Thornton, Marleau, Clowe, Pavelski, Erhoff, Setoguchi, Cheechoo, Grier blah blah blah did so much better.

This has NOTHING to do with physicality or nationality. It has EVERYTHING to do with playing hard.

The Wings aren't skating. Their passes are off. They're getting beaten to pucks. They're being lazy.

Thats not encoded in your DNA (then again, neither is race). Thats called a ******* WORK ETHIC. Something the Wings are incapable of doing against this Ducks team.

Get off it. This team is just flat-out sleepwalking. It's nothing to do with physical intimidation or domination.

Those soft euros won us a cup last year. Give them time they'll find there game. Im sick and tired of all you wings fans that get so down on the team from a bad period. Ya ide like to see them dominate every period of every game but thats not gonna happen.

CHILL.

Before you start griping, I was saying that I would like to see some gritty play. And I would like to see a Drake or McCarty or Downey in the lineup. Not only to beat and bang, but maybe light a fire under their own teammates.

So don't ever assume that I'm "every Wings fan."

Apology accepted.

The Ducks have been better in every 1st period, and the Wings better in every 3rd.

The 2nd period has been up for grabs, and the Wings really, really need to grab it now.

I think Babs should seriously consider ZDH, FFH. Pasha and Hossa are not working.

As I watch his stragedy more and more, I really hate his stragedy. He has been too stubborn out there; not changing Hossa and Datsyuk line. BOTH ARE NOT WORKING EACH OTHER f***!! How many games does he need to watch more to change the line!!

We need to give Hossa a break. He was excellent in the playoffs last year if everyone remembers. Hossa is going to be around awhile and he will perform. I hope he starts tonight. Even though he has nothing in the first, I think he will end up with a goal and an assist tonight and hopefully perform better for the rest of the series. Give Hossa a break. I'm on the "Chelios sucks balls" bandwagon. If anyone would like to join, let me know. We have plenty of room.

I know it's just a knee-jerk reaction after a bad period, but honestly why does Holland keep Lebda on this team? I'd rather see Meech out there than him. Can't fault Chelios on that goal (even though his age was showing in his skating speed).

Osgood looks great! Missing Rafi and Lils may prove prophetic.... Ducks are winning the neutral zone. Wings and hawks play east/west - Ducks and Canucks play north/south. N/S wins when penalties aren't being called.

p.s. Can't complain about our team taking the body.

It has nothing to do with physical play or scrums or soft play or anything. Anahiem is shutting us down and smothering us. Downey wouldn't help s***.

That was an abysmal period. What the hell are we doing? Forget 07, this is looking more like 06. Did we have a single shot from inside the circles? We need rebounds, enough shooting for the crest. Aim for the pads. It's freaking Jonas Hiller, what are we going to do if we ever get to face Luongo?!

The only two positive things after that period are Ozzy played well and there's still 40 minutes left.

A-frickin'-men. Shoot low into the pads, get the rebound and score.

More I watch ... less I want to keep Hossa.

er...that's a bit over the top. He had more jump than most of the Wings and as far as the physical play went, aside from Helm and Datsyuk, Hossa was the only Wing able to withstand the hits that period. If it weren't for Franzen, Hossa would be the only Wing forward big enough and strong enough to man up against the Ducks.

Totally invisible = Dan Cleary

It's pissing me off that in a series like this, a guy like Dan Cleary, who is a heart and soul kind of guy, is getting a lesson in physical play from Darren Helm and Pavel Datsyuk. Danny needs to get his ******* nose dirty.

I'm really concerned about the Red Wings. They aren't generating much of anything at all. They aren't going to the net hard and getting traffic.

It looks like the Ducks are methodically blanketing them. We've seen this in the past, where the opponent gets into one of those grooves, and smothers Detroit. The Wings don't really look like they are firing on all cylinders at all. They're not skating fast like they were in previous games or anything.

And the refs suck again. How do you let the blatent stuff go but call retarded, chincy stuff?

The soft Euros had a tough 4th line all season last year to back them up and to set a tempo for them. This year they don't.

Now it seems to have caught up with them, unless they actually prove me wrong and start taking it to Anaheim physically.

What I am seeing is making Don Cherry look right about the Ducks style of play. They are scaring the wings off of the puck. Did anyone notice late in the period, Lids attempts the first pass out of the zone to Huds, and Huds lets it go because there is a Duck coming his way? The Ducks get the loose puck in the neutral zone, and right back to pounding on our D some more.

Lilja would be handy right now...and so would Dallas Drake.
