QFT. Can't tell you how frustrating it was to not see anyone take it to the net. Draw the penalty at least even if you don't score. The Ducks obviously wanted it more tonight.

i agree that the ducks wanted it more for 2/3 of the game. we wanted it more in the third. and we scored. and got f***ed by the refs. now, granted, you can argue that we shouldn't have been down 2-1 at all. if hossa woudda if datsyuk woudda blah blah blah, but the fact is that we scored and the anaheim mightyrefs stole it. IMO, end of f***in story.

I guess losing in this fashion is no different than losing another OT game to these guys.

Still, it shows you how meaningless all the worrying is during the regular season, when everything you've worried about can end just by one dumb call from the ref.

This makes me wonder why I even bother cheering when such an extraneous source can s*** all over everything I worried over.

I don't understand how the ref could f*** that up? He was standing right behind the net. That being said from the time we went down 2-0 we completely dominated. Besides the ref, Hiller won that game for them. If we play like that for 60 min they can't hang. They got lucky tonight it must be said. Their 2nd goal was questionalbe goaltendeder interference right after Stuart got a questioanble intereference call. If that was Holmstrom crashing into Hiller prob would not have counted. Now if we come out playing our brand of hockey Game 5 we will win and go back to Det tied 2-2 and we will be in good shape. Alright guys, good night. Go Wings!

The Wings have ONLY played a handful of full 60 minute games all year long, this isn't like it's a new behavior or anything.

The ref's call(s) is(are) ONLY giving people an excuse on here to ***** about something when the entire performance SUCKED.

Hell if Anaheim was Vancouver or Chicago or even Boston or Pittspuke, Detroit wouldn't have lost by one goal on a very bad call. It would have been 6-1 or so.

It was a gutless performance for 40 something minutes in this one. You can't do that in the playoffs I don't care if your top line is Guy LaFleur, Wayne Gretzky and Steve Yzerman with a defense of Lids and Bobby frikin Orr.

If they lose a game that they by all means "should" win at home and the series is tied, a dangerous Wings team finally has momentum, going home, to go up 3-2. If Anaheim loses Game 4, the series is only tied, but their odds of winning significantly decrease.

Game 4 is a must win for either team, like it or not.

Then it got ugly.

Ducks defenceman James Wisniewski had to be taken off the ice on a stretcher with 6:11 to play in the second after being struck in the head by Detroit forward Tomas Holmstrom's elbow.

Wisniewski had been defending in front of the Anaheim net when Holmstrom skated by and delivered the elbow shot. Seconds earlier, Wisniewski was hit by a slap shot in the rib area.

One positive is that in all 3 games so far the Wings have decided not to show up until the 2nd half of the game or later.... If we see those Wings come out from the start and play their game for 60 min, this series is 3 and out.... take it to the bank $$$

Anyone have video of Niedermayer at end of game 2 OT3? I heard he was offside, that play should have been whistled before the goal?

Yeh. It was an offside yet the play continued and we lost. But tonight?? Tonight? Ugh. Incredibly some people think we played well tonight! So ill be just as insane and say Hiller was awesome!! Yeh, he made what, 25 glove saves off Sammuelsson type wrist shots.
