Then why the f*** do you even bring them up? Nobody even MENTIONED the refs in this thread but you. der?, is right!

I am so ******* SICK of fans (both team) using REFS as a ******* excuse, it's getting OLD!!!!

I brought them up because whenever anyone says game three all they think about is the refs non-calls and using that.

case and point... wings played like s*** in game3... this was supposed to be their bounce back game and it was even worse. i am glad you are optimistic about them being able to bounce back when this series has been a progression down hill of play.

Some people on this board are beyond a joke.

Its either all or nothing isn't it? If the wings win they are fine. If they lose its pretty much the end of the world, [insert player name] cant play [insert position here] to save his life!!11!

Wost of all is when you have people sitting behind a computer telling the world that "X player doesnt care" or "obviously the wings don't care" Are you kidding me?? They have played 82+ games this year but yea your right they just "don't care", their lives are spent chasing the cup and they are 2 wins away from achieving it but yea your probably right i doubt they care. If anyone actually believes this then you are a joke.

You want some positives?

I have some for you:

Hossa

Datsyuk

Lidstrom

Zetterberg

Ozzie

Helm

Rafalski

Kronner

Stuart

Mule

....

see where im going with this?

We are the Detroit Red Wings, that is the positive. We can take a loss here and there and still come out on top...and if we dont? You can bet your house we will be back in the playoffs next year..the year after...the year after.

Seriously try cheering for Atlanta.

Go Wings.

I'd say the only positive I can take from this game, is that with the series now being tied, you'd have to really think that Datsyuk MUST be playing Saturday night. Bad foot or not, it's now or never. It's not like there is anything to save him for now. There are 2 or 3 games left to this season. Suffer it out, heal up over the summer. I know it is easy for me to say it when I'm not the one with a bad foot, but he is needed now more than ever.

Maybe being tied 2-2 the Wings will play with more urgency and determination.

Another key point is Penguins didn't outplay us at all... we outplayed ourselves. a couple bone head plays and we lost the game. We won't make those mistakes again! Home ice advantage baby!!!!

I'm going to respectfully disagree with you. The Pens thoroughly outplayed us. We made several, not a couple of bonehead plays and the Pens capitalized on all of our mistakes and took advantge of every weakness. It happens though, and hopefully now the Red Wings will take this team seriously.

The positives... tonights game?? cannot think of alot other than Helm and Z.

I guess 1 positive would be if they keep playing the way they did tonight is thay will be in all the NHL commercials next year scoring on the Pens every 3 seconds, maybe Z will get some commercials too... Wait, that will never happen.

Here is a positive, the Wings MUST win this series because the Crosby/Malkin commercial swooning, love fest saturation would reach a critical level causing peoples heads to explode and small children will have nightmares, seriously I do not think I would pay for NHL Network if the Pens win because it is already Crosby TV and it makes me sick and he has not won anything.

Best positve I can think of for the series right now is a good rest, some refocus and the return of Dats. Also if Hossa is going to show to not look a fool, well the plate has been dusted, the pitchers is on the mound...time to step up to the plate.

The shorty is what changed the game. If our D was covering (and playing the simple responsible game), that would avoid the shorty and the momentum shift. The shorty was the demise of the game.

I agree, Refalski should have bowled Staal over and took the penalty, what a better time for a "smart defensemen" to take a penalty then on a PP, it just goes to 4 on 4, could not believe he did not do what it took to stop that one.

More positives.

Watching the post-game interview and Babcock's pressers really helps. They are so confident and just so composed. It's amazing how well this team is after a loss.

They seemed equally confident after the last game.

Still, we've only lost at home once all playoffs and we're not losing again at home until November (might as well have a good start to next year, too :) )

Guys ... listen ...

.. we beat ourselves last night. Played like crap. Too many turnovers. YES.

But these guys KNOW how to finish the job!! The Pens are going to seriously start looking ahead to the Cup win now that this series is tied. They will spend the next day convincing themselves that they are in control. If game #5 and #7 were in Pittsburgh they would fall all over themselves telling everyone that.

We are the better team.

We have home ice advantage.

With Pavel back, even 70%, it gets our other guys playing the right minutes.

It is all on us to win the 2/3. No excuses with up to only 3 games left in the season.

f*** Mellon Arena.

We will feast on home cooking ... and get back to OUR game.

Goooo Wings!!!

Well time for my .02 dollars...

Everything that posters are critical of is true but, in my opinion, can be traced back to one thing: being exhausted.

Turovers, flat feet on the PK/PP, bad penalties, lack of physical play, the whole package. That said, hopefully the day off will put some charge back in the batteries, give Babs and the team a chance to go over tapes and talk to each other, and gives Pavs yet another 2 days to rest up.

Until we lose a game at home I'm not going to start thinking about the doom and gloom. Even then, if ever there's a team capable of pulling off big wins it's our Red Wings. Last time I checked, it was a 7 game series and nothing is even close to being over. You think the guys in the locker room are sucking their thumbs and trembling right now? f*** no! And neither should we.

Moments like THESE are the reason why we're Red Wings fans people. It's easy and pathetic to kick this team when its down and throw in the towel but I challenge all of you, myself included, to get over this lackluster game and look forward to the fact that we're STILL in this series and heading home to the Joe. Screw fairweather fans, screw bait posters, screw critics, and screw the Penguins.

WE are the Champs. And this is OUR Cup!!! GO WINGS GO!!!

The Red Wings have been troubled with injuries, fatigue and playing games back to back. rest and re-focus is the key along with getting Dats back in. This team has the players, strength and will to keep the cup where it belongs.

Wings in 6!

GO WINGS! Positive Mojo, Positive thinking = Good Karma :octo: :octo: :octo: :octo: :octo: :octo:

Not if the Wings play like they did in games 2 and 3.

If the wings bring a 100% effort for the remainder of these Finals, we've got it in the bag. If the wings play 99% or less, we've allowed the Pens to take the cup home.

The cup is for the Wings to lose. Its up to the boys to figure out how to dig deeper and find better shifts.
