Is anyone else as extremely excited by our fans at the game tonight? They are making me very very very proud.

The energy from the fans was unbelievable tonight. I hope the Wings carry this with them to Pittsburg. This was the most exciting game to watch that I can remember. The way the Wings were playing, and the noise from the crowd was awesome.

One thing I noticed was when the Wings started to slack in the second. The crowd started chanting LETS GO WINGS, and the Wings picked up the entencity right away.

My boyfriend just got back from the corner store in his Winter Classic Franzen sweater. And he was assulted by two giant groups of drunk guys saying OMG GO WINGSSSSSSS.

You just never know who you're going to run across in this town.

I absolutely loved seeing the huge win by the boys tonight. Dats coming back to play gave the team a much needed boost, and was it ever a wonderful thing to watch. Bettman looked a little peeved when they showed him, almost looked like he wanted to cry cause his precious Pens were getting it handed to them...did I ever love seeing that. Ozzie made some stops while the game was scoreless, and deserved his shutout. Now the guys have 2 days off to rest and get ready for the next one, and hopefully will finish it off in the next game.

I'm gonna go ahead and say something here about all of us tonight as fans:

I have not seen many comments like "series is over now, we got them, they can't beat us, we're going to win in 6 for sure". We appear to all have gained some respect for the skill that the Pens can bring on the ice. I'm really proud of us as a fanbase right now.

We're all very happy we won tonight, and we are all keeping it in perspective, unlike most of us after game 2 (myself included).

Let's enjoy this one tonight, and hope and pray our team, with Datsyuk leading the charge, can pull out an upset in Pittsburgh for the second straight year and win our back to back cup!

Huge win. I have to admit, I had doubt creeping in after game 4. I know the Wings have come back home tied after taking a 2-0 series lead before and finished strong, but this felt different. The injuries, the f**ked up schedule, the toll taken by the Ducks series; everything that made me worry the fatigue they seemed to be showing was really about being too worn out to close this series out.

Instead, we get their best game of the series! WOOHOO!

One storyline not getting much play is how much better Datsyuk looked than he did even before he got injured. More proof that Datsyuk was hurt well before the first game he missed and benefited from the rest?
