I'm sure. I just figured a true hockey fan wold be gracious and humbled and watch the cup ceremony no matter who won.

Well then I lie like a rug because I could not watch it. My reason would be that I love my team too much to watch them try to hide the anguish and pain in their faces.

I'll run directly out the doors of the Joe, and sprint directly towards the Detroit River, hop the rail, and jump in...hoping that the current will take me far, far away from all of the Cindy Crosby media coverage that will happen after he and Uncle Gary share a kiss rather than a handshake before the Cup presentation...

But, luckily, I'm not going to have to do any of that, because the Wings are NOT losing on home ice...not this time.

GO WINGS! BRING IT BACK HOME BOYS!!

Unless you plan on floating down the river, across lake erie, over niagra falls, across lake ontario, out the st lawrence seaway across the atlantic and land in morraco, you will not be able to avoid the cosmilky pro press.

Where your water wings.

I'll sneak into the local zoo and have a penguin massacre.

Find a hole, if I can't find one, dig a hole, climb in said hole, sit and wait until the 2009/2010 season starts, making sure that the entire time i keep my eyes shut and ears plugged.

Its VERY VERY RARE that I drink, however Im going to go out and buy something (Any ideas?) before the game. Have a little bit during the game....to calm me down of course. Then should we win, Ill probably have a little bit more. Should we lose, Ill probably have a lot more, ignore ALL the phone calls I WILL be getting and just try to drop off the planet for about a week.

I just can't see that slightly mustached kid get his grubby hands all over that cup. And if we do win, I will be SOOO disappointed if they give the Conn Smythe to said grubby kid. Right now, losing is not an option to me. We'll cross the bridge of what I'm gonna do when we get there I suppose.

I'll do the same thing I'll do if the wings win. Smile, think "hey, this was a fun postseason, too bad it has to be over" and go on with my life. When you know people who are dying of cancer, it helps put things into perspective. There are things that matter, and there's entertainment. If watching your favorite team lose will bother you so much that it will seriously bum you out, maybe you'd be better off not watching at all. I love the game of hockey, it's fun to play and fun to watch - but my favorite teams and players are not my family or even my friends. When I elavate their importance in my life to a level that could actually cause me great joy or great sadness/indignation, then I'm a failure and I've put them in a place they don't belong. I've done it before. I hope I never do it again. there's a poster here with the name "Hockey Matters". It doesn't. It's entertainment. It matters no more than a cheesy Will Smith movie, but at least it's less painfull to watch.

I'll survive. The Wings have done an amazing thing just getting this far. Before the playoffs I was just scared it would be 1st round exit. And getting past the Ducks felt like a Stanley Cup victory in itself.

That said, I'll be extremely disappointed. The Wings have their destiny in their own hands. They can outplay their opponent when they want to.

I just hope the game isn't decided in the Pens favor by either a bad/missed call or that the Wings hit 17 posts and the Pens score a fluke goal. I want a good game where you can say that the better team won in the end.

All I can picture is the movie Baseketball, when the announcer was saying when they won, "Here's a team, that blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah..."

...and every Wings fan downing a bottle of their favorite booze in disgust.

I will continue watching from my seats until they have completely skated off the ice. I love hockey and if the wings win it or not i'm going to see a team skate it around the ice.

That depends on what you like to drink

Beer -- Go Labatt 50 Pilsner (just a good beer IMO)

Liquior --- Vodka: BlueBerri Stolichnaya and Sprite

Whiskey: Jack and Diet of course

Rum: Captain and Diet, or if you are feeling fruity a properly mixed Captain and Orange Juice (or oragne pop) does taste like an orange creamsicle.

Just a few that came to mind.

I think its awesome that you had season tickets and able to go to every home playoff game... I envy your wallet :P but really that is sweet!

enjoy the game, it will be a blast win or lose!

I tried the season ticket thing for 2 years and i barely could go to 1/4 the games

As I don't live in Michigan nor ever attended an NHL playoff game to be able to watch at the joe in the SCF do you really must have had season tickets the same season otherwise it's impossible? can't be 20.066 season ticket holders eh? uhm
