First f*** hossa he cud go somewhere else i was disgusted the way he wanted detroit to carry him to a title.

So heres some players we should consider

Centers-

-Nik Antropov- Big Body, Physical, puts garbage in, has good finess.

-Sammy Paulson- Great player, plays hard, hes just what you want.

Right Wingers-

Marion gaborik is going to vancouver and we cant afford him.

Petr Sykora- Sniper, cud score once puck hits his stick.

Ian lapariere- Hard working player, plays hard, detroit cud use something like him.

Left Wingers-

Ruslan Fedetenko- He cud score, he poses some sort of threat on the ice, not a great finisher though.

Taylor Pyatt- Fast, wins faceoffs

Defence man-

Niklas Havlid- Great positional Defence man fits well with our puck possesion style.

So you guys agree dis agree- Detroit cud pull off a ken holland miracle by getting heatly as it said on sportscenter that thats one of the teams on the list, but theirs about 10-11 on heatlys list, who would probably offer a better deal.

Dont even say we dont want heatly because he cud score and cud benefit off pavels play making ability, i know this is a fragile hope but the guy is a great scorer.

We are better without hossa.

Hossa-'' Winning the stanley cup, not my forte''

I don't see a remote possibility of any of those players coming here. I don't think Holland is going to bring anyone onto the team from outside the organization.

Things will be cleared up this time next week though...

You could take any free agent on the market and give reasons whythey would fit, or why they wouldn't fit this team. Money, and Cap space plays too big of a part.

I'd rather see Hossa back, and Helm and possibly Abdelkader playing regularly.

People seem to forget that the guys we have currently were one game away from winning the cup.

I would not recommend Sykora. He is on the downside and has been in decline. He did ok with Therrien's trap system but did not adjust well when we went more aggressive and uptempo so I don't know how that would fare in Detroit. I guess they could try him out and I think he's a great guy but I wouldn't expect much from him.

Why has Hossa become a scapegoat all of a sudden?

Because we didn't win the Cup and he didn't score 24 goals in the Playoffs.

I'd keep him.

Could.

I'm sorry. I don't usually do that...but...that was rough. It's not that much harder to type two more letters and then I don't read your post thinking about cows chewing on their regurgitated breakfast...

id say just get neil or laperiere, they would be cheap and provide some grit

Not sure how "cheap" they are really going to be.

Fast? Are you kidding me? Pyatt is a slug..career under achiever....big body that doesn't know how to use it. And plus the fact that he lost his fiance late in the season , this guy is fragile on and off the ice. Pass !!

Sammy Paulson

Marion gaborik

Ian lapariere

Ruslan Fedetenko

Niklas Havlid

how in hell you make so many mistakes in players names? Just curious.

back to the topic. None of these players, expect for, Antropov and Palsson are good choices for the Red Wings.

Heatley drags around a 7.5 million dollar cap hit which is why they want to dump him....Explain how the Wings can afford that......Just curious who you are going to get rid of to bring him in with that kind of cap hit.....

Cheli is already gone.

1. Keep Hossa (if a 4 to 5 mil deal is possible). I would also shoot to not have a NTC especially so the more the cap hit.

2. Bring up Helm full time.

3. Give Leino a shot in camp, he proves himself, give him a roster spot, if not let him walk / trade him for picks or a decent depth guy with potential and a minimal cap hit.

4. Allow Sammy to walk if offer is > 2mil (which it will be), but he could stay for a simular salary to current and a raise could be considered in a year when some salary may be shed.

5. Allow Hudler to walk of offer sheet is good enough for picks, otherwise see Sammy suggestion about a raise.

6. Keep Conklin if possible, let Howard walk (follow the AHL and he is not what was promised).

Obviously due to the cap this is not neccesarily in the proper order, but close.

Do the best to acomplish above, Maltby most likely retires either this year or next, Draper to follow, Nick either retires or re-signs at a lower rate, Homer most likely retires in the same time frame, bring up Abdelkader... this leaves us with breathing room in the cap if we can get past till Lids contract comes up which by then the AHLer's that keep getting the world stacked on their shoulders on this forum will have had a chance to show themselves for a full season.

Hope for Maltby, Draper to retire. Keep Hossa, sign Laperriere, and find a way to bring in Neil.

I'd be fine with Maltby retiring. I don't want Draper to retire because if we're gonna have his cap hit against us, he better ******* be on the roster.

Fedex delivers! Seriously, he started out slow with us but things pulled together fairly well with him and Malkin. Shero is pretty fond of him so I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed in Pittsburgh for a couple more years. Sykora and Satan will probably be let go.

Brooks Orpik's office
