But Eaves wasn't playing for teams like the Red Wings. Just makes me realise how much Fil really needs to step it up this season, I hope he's been working on his shot this offseason. 'Cuz I think Holland tried his best to keep yr boy. ...and yr boy decided to go to Russia and make some money. Validating his greedy card in LGW land. Don't get me wrong, I wanted Hudler to stay... I know it's hard right now, but you need to get over your loss. Back on topic: For $500,000. Eaves is a great signing. He's not an ego or locker room cancer type guy. So, the price tag risk is worth the potential payoff. EDIT: For clarity. Um, I've posted LESS comments about him leaving then other people. I was over it before the final decision was made....I was just making a comparison, no need to be rude...I would've F'N gone to Russia too.....Now the capspace is open for this Eaves guy and possibly more since we signed him for $500K.....player wise, I don't agree with, cap situation, I say good job. My post wasn't even about Hudler....it was mostly about the contradiction of the damn article & similarities of the two.....and I just so happened to end it with.."....what do I know, I'm just a Hudler fan......" again-making a joke....apparently I will now need to right (making joke/being sarchastic) when I am meaning it that way. There was no frustration in any of that.....just making a statement.
