Yep, that definitely replaces Ohlund. Lose one of the better defensive defensemen in the league, sign a guy who might be in the bottom 30% defensively.

Vancouver is already very strong defensively. I dont think it would hurt them to bring in an offensive minded defenseman like Matthieu Schneider. If they see him playing in their 5-6 pairing and then getting some PP time he could really be an asset to them.
