motorcitykid 42 Report post Posted September 23, 2009 Waive him, send him down, trade him, whatever, just give it up. Everytime he makes a save, he can NEVER control the rebound. When the regular season starts, we'll be doomed. Heaven forbid OSgood gets hurt for the playoffs, and we have to rely on Howard as the starter? This guy just doesn't have it. No offense Jimmy, but it's over. Good lucj with whomever picks you up...Now these type of pathetic posts show us it's hockey season back in Detroit.

Kp-Wings 3 Report post Posted September 24, 2009 Howard sucks. ...I said it, there I said it! Ok, so, let's just sign Cloutier already and call it day, right guys?
russianswede919293 95 Report post Posted September 24, 2009 Howard sucks. ...I said it, there I said it! Ok, so, let's just sign Cloutier already and call it day, right guys? Cloutier would be either a Griffin or a Walleye to start the year no matter what. I think that the biggest issue is Larsson or Howard. Since they are around the same skill level with Larsson a little younger. In my opinion this choice is about more then just this season, but about the Wing's future in net as well, as to which of the 2 do they feel will have more success.\ I honestly have a feeling Howard will be waved and Larsson will make the team, unless J-Ho has an outstanding game at some point in the preseason. Stiffy 0 Report post Posted September 25, 2009 Maybe he develops, maybe he doesn't, but damn it, when some other team has a young goalie who steps up huge and is a natural without all the incubation time, permit driving and baby sitting, it is fun to watch. Why can't we ever be like Columbus or Carolina in the young goalie department, just once.

Why can't we ever be like Columbus or Carolina in the young goalie department, just once. Well maybe because that usually involves missing the playoffs and having to deal with headaches and inconsistencies of a 20 year old in net. Why can't any other team be like the Wings and be successful for 20 years in a row is probably a better question to be asking yourself.
CenterIce 83 Report post Posted September 25, 2009 Eh, I just think it's one thing to criticize a goalie prospect and quite another to criticize a coach who has multiple Stanley Cups. Not saying you don't have the right to do it, I just personally think it's silly. And don't worry about the grammar police, I know I don't put in any effort I was more or less trying to get to the fact that Babcock is a pretty damn good coach and hasn't done a whole lot to warrant a nick name that... umm creative? Not complaining about Babcock, but I believe he only has the one with Detroit from 08.
