P. Marlowe 748 Report post Posted October 17, 2009 TSN.ca "He's really progressing," Quenneville said, adding that he doesn't have an exact date for Hossa to join the team, but that it could be in late November or early December.

GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted October 17, 2009 I hope the JLA boo the s*** out of him next time he visits. I won't, but it will definitely happen. Most of our fans still think it is cool to boo Sergei Fedorov, let alone Hossa.
wingnut40 176 Report post Posted October 17, 2009 Good, glad to see he's better. I can't wait to see him play. As far as booing him goes, that's the most ridiculous thing ever. Are they gonna boo every single former Wing? Get over it, save it for someone who deserves it, like Pronger.
Finnish Wing 110 Report post Posted October 17, 2009 I won't, but it will definitely happen. Most of our fans still think it is cool to boo Sergei Fedorov, let alone Hossa. LOL. Do you guys really boo Sergei? Man, that's just stupid. I've never liked Hossa that much, but still wouldn't boo him either.
Statts 4 Report post Posted October 17, 2009 I hope the JLA boo the s*** out of him next time he visits. Why? Wings fans booing Hossa makes less sense than pens fans booing him. I'm all for booing Kopey though...
dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted October 17, 2009 I hope the JLA boo the s*** out of him next time he visits. Sigh... I wished Red Wings fans would be a little bit smarter than Penguin fans, but I guess not. Oh wait, this is mindfly. Everyone else here seems to understand how silly it would be to boo him. Carry on. Snazzy 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2009 Can't wait for Hossa to return so Wings can own the Hawks even with Franzen and Lilja out... That way, Hawks fans can't use Hossa being out as an excuse to being dominated by the Detroit Red Wings. Then again, they'll probably cry that Hossa's rusty. Glad to see Hossa making progress. Will make for beating the Hawks even much more funner

Hack & Whack Rule! 160 Report post Posted October 17, 2009 As much of an irrelevant subject as this is, I had to read. I thought there might be something interesting. Glad to see a guy get back on his skates. As far as the booing goes, I've got one thing to say. It will put you on a level with Penguins fans when they boo him. The guy made a move, and for us it sucked, then he made another move. It happens, let it go. Wings fans can be way classier than that.

Nicklin3011 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2009 who cares about this bum? if he showed up in the finals we would have won. hes a loser, and always will be. WTF wings fans...you should be proud as f*** of Marian. Any true hockey fan wouldn't of said that. He's a loser for playing with torn up shoulder? He played all through the season and playoffs scored 40 goals with a bum shoulder and played through pain the whole playoffs and your calling the man a loser? Go ahead and call him a loser for his teams not winning in the cup, but "if he showed up" He dressed and tried his damn best with a pretty big injury. Thats a true hockey player right there...Blackhawk..Red Wings...any other team. A hockey fan has respect for that kind of play no matter what side he's on

Cry me a ******* river! Pittsburgh transplant? I don't need to cry you a river...you probably do it yourself or you wouldn't need to boo a player like Hossa. I agree that he was useless in the Playoffs last year, but a few players didn't bring their A-game. He's moved on. Now Detroit needs to show everyone they don't need Hossa. Actally, I don't know why everyone would boo him. Because of the playoffs last year or because he signed with another team. Either way, it's over. A big f*** you to the "fans" that are going to make all of Detroit's fans look like mental midgets.

Just because we aren't on the ice with them, doesn't mean we can't be "good sports". I have two daughters who are both into sports and I can't explain why people are booing one player in certain games. I would be appalled if my kids ever booed a player anywhere. revnic 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2009 Your two daughters don't get paid 6+ million to play hockey. Don't worry, Hossa isn't going to lose sleep over a couple of Red Wing fans booing him. Now be a man and stop getting your feelings hurt by fan reactions.
puckloo39 5,686 Report post Posted October 18, 2009 I have no doubt Hossa will be back to make our lives miserable in short order. Not so for Franzen or Lilja. We got Bertuzzi, and lost Hossa. We lost this round, folks. Good luck, Marian, unless you are playing the Wings. And no, I won't ever boo a player for moving to a better place, professionally, for his career. Hack & Whack Rule! 160 Report post Posted October 18, 2009 Your two daughters don't get paid 6+ million to play hockey. Don't worry, Hossa isn't going to lose sleep over a couple of Red Wing fans booing him. Now be a man and stop getting your feelings hurt by fan reactions. My two daughters aren't the ones getting booed, so your point is irrelevant. I'm trying to teach them to be good sports. I teach them to play to win, but not at the expense of playing fair. I teach them that losing sucks, but it's part of sports. I am a man, not a little baby booing a player that didn't make things super-fantastic for us. My feelings aren't hurt, far from it. I just don't like trying to explain childish reactions when people are supposed to be adults. Everybody knew Hossa wasn't going to stay more than one season, so are you going to boo him because he sucked in the playoffs? It was more than Hossa that sucked in the playoffs, so will you boo them too? I'm guessing you are one of those bandwagon fans. You probably didn't like Hossa when he played elsewhere, loved him in Detroit, hate him because he's playing somewhere else again. If he comes back to Detroit, everyone's going to love him again. The guy is getting healthy, good for him. He's getting on with his career, good for him. Haters aren't needed anywhere.

Injuries sustained during the playoffs are usually revealed afterward, which is when we found out about his shoulder injury. Yet for whatever reason no one wants to acknowledge that he was injured throughout the playoffs. People excuse Datsyuk's lack of production because of his injury, yet turn a blind eye to Hossa's. Double standards much?
