Carman 387 Report post Posted November 1, 2009 I'm gladly eating my crow on Holmstrom. That's for sure. Producing even strength even without Zetterberg and Datsyuk together. Hope he can keep this up. Helm is amazing. Bertuzzi strong again. Osgood is solid. We need to keep aggressive in the 3rd Calgary can score some goals.

Hockeymom1960 5,107 Report post Posted November 1, 2009 (edited) Yeah, I'm not complaining about it at all! But if he stays consistent and finishes this year again too injured to contribute points, it's time for him to go. OMG what a downer you are . Sheesh anyone can start out great and get hurt. gcom007 1,465 Report post Posted November 1, 2009 I think with all the opportunities opening up, you've got guys working even harder to prove themselves and get quality ice time. The guys who really step up and make a splash are going to get a lot of ice time. You don't have anyone really locked into a spot right now. I really think we're going to go on a winning streak here moving forward. I think we'll eventually still have to make moves to tighten things up for the stretch, but I think we're going to be fine for awhile. I'm not at all thinking "TRADE TRADE TRADE" like some. I want to see what this team can do. I still think they've got it in them to make a lot of good things happen and win games.
skyphoenix 153 Report post Posted November 1, 2009 I feel a quick one coming in the 4rd. The Oracles are showing me visions of "The Tuz". Holy s***, a goal in the 4rd!? Just kidding.
gcom007 1,465 Report post Posted November 1, 2009 OMG what a downer you are . Sheesh anyone can start out great and get hurt. Holmstrom takes more abuse than any player in the league and has done so for years. There's a reason why he has CONSISTENTLY started strong and ended poorly the last few years. He's getting up there in age and the human body can only take so much abuse. Sorry to rain on your irrational parade, but reality is what it is.

dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted November 1, 2009 Maybe the Wings have realized their passing sucks this year.. easier to just ice the puck? I mean, I like that they're playing safe and not giving the puck away.. but a 2-1 lead is a fragile thing.
