What can Lidstrom do to fire up the boys?

Everything would be fixed if Nik would just simply walk into the dressing room, flip a table, spit in Osgood's eye then grab Leino by the throat as he's kung fu kicking Dan Cleary in the bean bag.

So what's he waiting for?

Get it done Nikky...

I guess people don't realize we've play 8 games on the road so far and ONLY 4 at The Joe (Where we are 3-0-1). I think the schedule has something to do with an average start.

Edit: To each their own, but it's good to look into things a bit before worrying.

He could always tie cement blocks to McCrimmons legs and send him to the bottom of the Detroit River...

I knows its a long shot because someone is bound to notice the defense playing much better upon his demise!

I'll ask again, has it been confirmed (SOURCE??) that McCrimmon is 100% responsible for the D and the D only?

fact 1) he blew as a player

fact 2) the d's troubles started exactly when McClellan left for the Jose's and Bradly came aboard

if he wasn't the only reason and he was wrongly off'd then the its still a win win situtation because the world is still less one former s***ty defensemen. s*** breeds s***! might as well end the s*** cycle now rather then later.

LOL!

He is intantly transformed from 'nice guy' to 'this guy means business!'

I was hoping someone might take that and run... thank you!

As for McCrimmon, he was a great defensive defenseman who really helped Lidstrom's early development (playing the angles).

In 18 seasons he was a +444 which is 10th all-time, and 6th for defensemen. Lidstrom, Bourque, Pronger, M. Howe and Coffey have all credited him with being instrumental in their development -- which is why it is strange to me this whole 'coaching' thing has not met with much success for him.

Well the thing is it is much different developing individual players so they can play better and utilizing a system that can work effectively with multiple players in a game situation.

McCrimmon seems to have a hard time with the latter.

some could argue the same with Whiner Gretzky... some people should remove themselves from the game after they retire. Just because you might have been something on the ice, doesn't mean you are something off the ice.

if a captain has no influence/impact on his teammates/team, then what's the point of a captain?

Not all captains lead by yelling their lungs out or throwing stuff around in a locker room when things aren't always peachy keen. See Yzerman (I'm assuming) for example.

Actually I heard Nick pulled a gun onto the whole team in the locker room and started to burn several teammates with a lighter to build team toughness.

This report is an e5.

I personhally think having the team sit in a pot of boiling water for 2 hours straight is a good idea. :P

Grow a mustache.

Bigger than Crosby's hopefully! :P
