He's had three or four good shots and scoring chances, in close (per usual) and from a bit farther out. He didn't score, which makes him not unlike the rest of the Wings right now.

This is a guy called Darren Eliot, played 80 NHL games as a goalie with a s*** save percentage. He's a clown.

This team is just brutal to watch right now. I'm not sure where the answers are going to come from ... I feel like when the Tigers of 2008 kept saying "Wait until it warms up" or "It's only April" ... and then they finished in last because all those guys they kept waiting to step up never did.

It's neither here nor there, I'm not particularly high on either player's contributions at the moment, but I think you were just using the opportunity to single out Homer, as is your wont.

I'm singling out Homer because I hold him to a higher standard. He has played most of the game with Zetterberg-Datsyuk, I just cannot find excuses for him. He has been struggling the past 6 games, and as one of our only proven goalscorers he needs to snap out of it and help carry this team right now. If he isn't scoring, he isn't doing anything else.

I'm singling out Homer because I hold him to a higher standard. He has played most of the game with Zetterberg-Datsyuk, I just cannot find excuses for him. He has been struggling the past 6 games, and as one of our only proven goalscorers he needs to snap out of it and help carry this team right now. If he isn't scoring, he isn't doing anything else.

Homer has 12 points, is tied for the team lead in goals and is a +5. Bert has 9 points and is a -5 in the same number of games. Bert's playing on a line with Datsyuk. Homer may not be lighting the world on fire, but he carried the team early when nobody else was scoring.

Bertuzzi needs to finish.

exactly. we may be putting a lot of shots on goal, but they are not quality shots. we aren't creating good chances.
