The reason people are so high on Abby is that his line has actually been the only one in quite a few games that kept the puck in the offensive zone, Abby being the main carrier. On top of that he doesn't ever appear to be taking shifts off like others look like, lastly it's not like it would hurt the 1st or 4th line if there were a shake up.

Funny how Pavel has 20 points in 24 games, but needs to "get going".

As soon as they get Helm with Datsyuk, the sparks will start to fly. For some reason, the coach of the decade can't figure out that Pavel could use a little speed to open up some ice.

dont confuse cycling the puck with quality scoring chances. weak wrist shots from the side of the crease dont count. Defensemen are happy to let the line tire themselve out along the boards as long as they dont get to the slot. i think abby and helm can be REALLY good 3rd, 4th liners and really good ones (draper, maltby in their prime) are an excellent asset, but to pretend they are going to be superstars is a little crazy. If Helm could develop like Franzen and get more of a scoring touch than maybe**.

if abdelkader is on the first line and the other team is matching 1st to 1st, he can go out and nail some of the other team's star players

Look, the guy's energy is second-to-none, but he does not have the hands nor goal scoring touch to play on a top line. Appreciate Helm for what he brings to the team and stop expecting him to develop into something he isn't.

Franzen was never supposed to be a grinder. He has always looked and played like a power forward with an obvious skill for scoring goals. Helm hasnt had this. The Red Wings organization i think has the ability to identify who should play where..... well except Lebda...
