Draper had seen enough and told them so

Good for Drapes, better for the Wings.

I think the guys that need to listen to him though are not the young guys.

Very few players on this team are playing harder than Miller, Abbie, Helm, Eaves.

BTW side track, I really like Miller on the Wings, he seems inspired? motivated? not sure what is the word but he is playing really hard out there and it is nice to see. I wonder what happens when the MASH unit comes back.

A lot of guys have earned more minutes and showed they deserve to be up with the big club. Abbie I assume goes back, Leino? Miller? May/Eaves/Maltby?

Nick is good and all but maybe Draper should have been made captain. If you want the C Zetterberg maybe take some notes.

Nope. The "C" usually is for the player that gets to mediate what happens with the referees. That's why they always give the "C" to the player that's on the ice a lot and has a calm and respected demeanor that's official friendly. Other players take care of the "rah rah" in the dressing room.

What's hilarious is that "not going well" to us means the team is in a 10 game funk. Remember that the Red Wings have gone through decades of funk in the past. It's about time people start looking at the bright side a little more. We're going to charge back to 2nd or 3rd in the conference and get a first round match-up we like in the playoffs. We'll get our injured guys back within the next 2-3 months, and we'll have a little extra cap space when it's all said and done, if I'm not mistaken.

Good job by Draper, though. The Euros need a wake-up call once in a while.

10 game funk? they've played almost 30 games and the funk has been there since day 1. the season is nearing the halfway point. in 2-3 months the playoffs will be a month away and it'll be too late to make up as many points as they'll need if they continue their current pace.

We are 6 points out of 2nd place with 50+ games left. You go ahead and panic if you want, but I like our chances even if all our good players remained out of the line-up. I REALLY like our chances if Filppula, Kronwall, Williams, and Franzen return on pace and healthy.

I can't believe I'm doing this, but please see the Jake Ryan post quoted below. You're not thinking about this logically.

It helps to stop looking at all the spots we need to climb and look at the points we need to be in second.

6 points is 3 games, potentially. Win against St Louis, win against Anaheim, win against Nashville, and we're suddenly right in the thick of it and battling for second.

What the $%^&, Jake? Why do you just now start making logical posts that have been thought through and are positive, when I've already decided that I don't like you?

I do not understand the criticisms of Nick here. A veteran player and leader on the team stood up and said...."hey, enough is enough. " Who cares who it was? The fact it wasn't Nick doesn't mean he sucks at being captain or something.

Dude, I PMS when the Red Wings lose. I'm trying to deal with it in a better way.

That'd be funny if Lebda stood up and said "ENOUGH"!!!

There would be a moment of stunned hear-a-pin-drop silence before the entire team bursts into uncontrollable laugher. Everyone would still be stiffling giggles all throughout the rest of the game, distracting them so much that the other team walks all over us and scores like 6 goals

Why is it that I don't find this to be a joke and I think that this is how it would REALLY turn out!

Maybe LGW will go one day without a negative comment.... but i doubt it

Have you not met Mindfly?

I am hoping that it lasts for a long time. This team still has a lot of talent and it is not being used! I am just stating the realistic truth and not stating anything more than the media/team/BabCOCK has mentioned.

All I know is that I've seen enough, and I'd love to tell them so.

Easy, just don't buy tickets.. I don't care for their product this year, and I'm not accepting the injuries as an excuse.

The Joe is going to be looking mighty empty as this awful season progresses.
