syntax 359 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 Hilarious, Babcock is 1,000,000% uninterested in what the zebras have to say nowadays.
BlueMonk 102 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 I'm okay with that being called a dead play. I'm not okay with a 4 minute high sticking penalty being ignored where the Detroit player is bleeding all over the ice.
skyphoenix 153 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 I agree that it shouldn't have been a goal after that, but what the hell took the refs so long to blow the whistle?
XxGoWingsxX 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 THREE f***S BY THE REFS....in just under 3 minutes....you could literally make an hour long montage of intent to whistle calls going against the wings.

XxGoWingsxX 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 I agree that it shouldn't have been a goal after that, but what the hell took the refs so long to blow the whistle? Shouldn't have been a goal? He took too long to blow the whistle...and the play is NOT DEAD until the whistle blows.

Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 There's a lot less controversy if Bert just buries the friggin' puck the first time like he should have.
WorkingOvertime 536 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 Again.....Seriously? We seem to get screwed by that rule more times than the rest of the league combined.
sureWhyNot 19 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 (edited) Bertuzzi Sucks! STFU, Dan Cleary has miffed about 4 different breakways this year and I don't see anyone jumping down his throat. BTW, it wasn't a goal. While it sucks bc we have has so many legitimate goals called back in the past, this one was actually covered up and more or less dead. jollymania 162 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 (edited) these refs blow literally, but the no goal looked like a legit call Edited December 10, 2009 by jollymania
Third Man In 2,091 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 Shouldn't have been a goal? He took too long to blow the whistle...and the play is NOT DEAD until the whistle blows. There's always the dreaded 'intent to blow' rule. But that was the right call there.
Guest lilja4mvp Report post Posted December 10, 2009 2nd and 3rd calls were the right calls...just incredibly bad timing.
Guest Lidstromboli Report post Posted December 10, 2009 THREE f***S BY THE REFS....in just under 3 minutes....you could literally make an hour long montage of intent to whistle calls going against the wings. we could probably have a montage of the goals they've pushed in from under the goalie's pads because they can't roof it

VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 I'm okay with that being called a dead play. I'm not okay with a 4 minute high sticking penalty being ignored where the Detroit player is bleeding all over the ice. Yeah, what was up with that? Then seconds later WE get a penalty for hooking? It's not that the hooking wasn't a penalty but that if they let an egregious thing go that results in blood, and then call a chintzy thing, this is retarded. The nongoal made me mad at first, but I guess I see their point. The rule is stupid, though. All players on the ice keep playing until they hear the whistle blow. Conks obviously didn't have control of it. Players chip away at prostrate goalies pads on the goal line all the time and it counts, I don't really see what was so bad about this. XxGoWingsxX 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2009 the problem with that rule that saved conks from a penalty is HE WASN'T SHOOTING...he was passing the puck around the boards
