Hossa nice goal

I'm just plain jealous of the Hawks for 2 reasons, Marian Hossa and Duncan Keith.

Doc, you better get some boxing gloves because you're gonna have to punch out about 10,000 people at the Joe. As much as I like Hossa as a player and an individual (from a fan perspective of course) I still want to see him fail as a Blackhawk. He wanted to stay in Detroit, but Ken Holland decided to keep Z and Mule (and Hudler, but that's another story) instead, so I don't think he deserves to be booed by Wings fans. Personally, I was a little bothered by the fans booing Fedorov, and he deserved it 10x more than Hossa.

As for the goal, it was cool, but nothing I wouldn't expect from Hossa. He's got one of the sickest shots that I've ever seen.

Where is "Bertuzzi nice goal" thread? Bert scored 4 sweet (clutch) goals in his last two games. And three of them were downright sick. His spin-o-rama kills Hossa's generic goal. Not to mention Bert's sweet hands going over Giggy's shoulder while driving the net in his OT winner against the Ducks. And the goal that I like was his powerhouse break away goal when totally out muscled and drove the net on a beatiful GWG OT goal against the Preds.

Bert's spin-o-rama was the prettiest goal I saw in a long time. Clutch goals are much more impressive to me.

Complimenting players currently on the roster is a LGW faux pas. You have to kick 'em when they're down, then make yourself scarce when they win two games in a row for you :)

I'd also like to add I would love to punch out every idiot who decides to stand up in front of the camera during play.

Stop it, f***ers.

You all make me ******* SICK. Yeah sure he scored 40 goals in his only season in Detroit, and blah blah blah.. oh wait, there is no blah blah blah because that's all the f***in guy did. Now that he's moved over to an arch rival, let's all get on his jock? f*** Hossa. f*** this s***ty goal he scored too.

Pavel already has a contract, everyone knows he played badly in the playoffs, and that does not excuse Hossa.

Hossa was a rental player that took a gamble on Detroit and Detroit took a gamble on him. Holding a 15 point playoff performance over his head when he outplayed elite players that are mainstays on this team seems kind of ridiculous to me.

And with that gamble he should have had much more motivation to play out of his mind here, without a cup unlike Detroit's stars, without a guaranteed future unlike Detroit's stars, and with a 7.4 million dollar salary unlike every Detroit star except for Lidstrom. Also considering he scored 40 goals for Detroit last year you would think he would be able to score in more than three games.

And for the record of the elite players he only outplayed Datsyuk, who had a terrible year. So giving him the benefit of the doubt simply because he did better than a struggling Datsyuk doesn't make any sense. And for the record I loved the guy when he played for Detroit and I hope he gets his name put on that cup one day.

Hossa is a top 5 winger in the league. Wing's fans were lucky as hell to be able to cheer for him. He carried this team on his back in the regular season, and still put up decent numbers while being injured. He is one of if not the highest scoring active winger, and is still in his prime. He's close to a career PPG playoff performer while helping three different teams make it deep into the playoffs.

It was a damn privilege to have that caliber of a winger on the team, it's a shame we won't have a Winger as good as Hossa again for a long time.

Datsyuk was having a career year until probably two weeks before the playoffs. He got to 97 points and just kind of stopped. I wouldn't say Datsyuk was struggling at all during the season and neither was Hossa. In the playoffs, both were injured and both struggled but Datsyuk struggled more. I would expect more from a career Wing than a rental player, even if his sole purpose for coming here was to win the cup.
