I heard Helm's out with wrist injury. what happend? what did he do? So I get it this year, Detroit Red Wings injuries= handicap for rest of NHL to play againts us, hence to make it fair now. Like when you were a kid your parents used to give you a head start or a handicap or let you win when they played a game with you. <_<

Damn.. if these injuries keep up by the end of the year we might as well just trade in the Wings jersey and play with the Griffins jerseys... Oh well.. Just more motivation to go out and grind out a win tonight.. atleast I hope.

My Prediction:

Wings 3 - Bertuzzi, Newbury, Ericsson.

Coyotes 1 - Doan

Lets Go Wings!

How is Newbury? Anyone excited to see him? I know nothing about him.

He set a Griffins record for most penalty minutes in a single period on Saturday, massing 29PIM in the 2nd period (2 for cross checking, 2 for instigating, 5 for fighting, 10 minute midconduct for instigating, 10 minute/game misconduct for equipment (jersey not tied down.) HELL YEAH!!

Well, to start off this guy is a ball of hate out on the ice. Newbury is nuts, cant wait to watch him tonight. I think the May-Newbury-Maltby line might start some crap tonight. Although Malts is not a fighter, he sure knows how to run his mouth.

I hope Newbury at least plays physical tonight, didn't see that at all from him during the pre-season. I know from when he used to play for the Leafs that Don Cherry was a big fan of his so that kind of explains what type of player he is.

According to this article, link, one of the mods may want to consider adjusting the Wings Projected lines. It mentions that Abdelkader will be skating between Miller and Draper while Newbury will be between May and Maltby. I would imagine they are splitting up Datsyuk and Zetterberg. As Eaves got some time with Datsyuk the other day the lines will most likely be:

Bertuzzi - Datsyuk - Eaves

Leino - Zetterberg - Holmstrom

Draper - Abdelkader - Miller

May - Newbury - Maltby
