jollymania 162 Report post Posted December 16, 2009 carcillo is an idiot that takes the worst penalties at the worst times, he would be a healthy scratch 9 nights out of 10 here. carcillo or ott would be fabulous on a line with pavel and z, people would be so caught up in chasing all 3 that 1 would guaranteed always be wide open
RusDRW 155 Report post Posted December 16, 2009 I'm a bit shocked at just how bad the Flyers are. So much talent, so little results. this is what happens when you have no system in place. They have so much talent in their roster. Moreover, I cannot say they play with no heart at all. It is all about coaching. What's more interesting now is that they won't fire Laviolette (in fact, they just hired him). Some teams may benefit from panic trades they are going to do next few days. cjm502 165 Report post Posted December 16, 2009 They're too busy thinking about each other's wives. And thats the TRUTH. They are easily the most dysfunctional team in the NHL, by a mile. Its not even right. Do I laugh at how completely stupid they are or feel bad for them?
Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted December 16, 2009 How well have the Flyers been doing with their roster? Yeah, we should emulate their style of play. Point and match.

Datsyuk2Zetterberg 1 Report post Posted December 16, 2009 (edited) Franzen for Hartnell? I'd do it... why not throw in datsyuk too? Carter for Franzen. Maybe. But still Franzen is a beast and hasn't really gotten a chance to prove himself in the regular season (2 season with injures), but he's money in the playoffs and that's what matters. Plus the team might hate Carter and he might end up being a cancer to the room. Edited December 16, 2009 by Datsyuk2Zetterberg
titanium2 867 Report post Posted December 16, 2009 Franzen for Hartnell? I'd do it... I'm sure many of us would like to see you do that. And then watch you and Mike Milbury talk about how neither of you were never given a fair chance and were "misunderstood."

RusDRW 155 Report post Posted December 16, 2009 (edited) Franzen for Hartnell? I'd do it... Ohhh... Let me guess because Hartnell is good old Canadian boy who (dare I say it?) checks big time everything in his sight while Franzen is that f%$# soft swede who is always injured? In the beginning I was thinking you love for Crosby had different roots, now it is apparent that everything is much simpler. Just another blind homer who may argue to death that Mike Keane was much better than, say, Peter Forsberg because he had so much heart. The good thing is that most canadian fans are much better than that and do understand the game. PS Just hypothetically. For Franzen we could get Hartnell AND Giroux or Hartnell and JVR or Coburn and Giroux. Why? Franzen scores in the play-offs. kozac 10 Report post Posted December 16, 2009 Didn't a lot of people pick the Flyers to win the East in the beginning of the season. They have a hell of a roster on paper. The coaching change didn't seem to help so far. What the hell happened to them?

Datsyuk2Zetterberg 1 Report post Posted December 16, 2009 haha i hear that thrown around alot, is there any truth behind it? apparently it's a rumor from a reputable dude. I'm a little hesitant to believe it myself. Just because I image Hartnell would try to beat the s*** out of Carter everytime he sees him.
Inultus 12 Report post Posted December 16, 2009 Not only does Philly suck on the ice but the only way they can win a fight is to have a fighter start it up with a non-fighter.
titanium2 867 Report post Posted December 16, 2009 Yeah really what's going on in Flyer town? http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=301603 “There’s somebody bad in that locker room,†he said. “Somebody is tainting something in that locker room, whether it’s the leadership, or somebody who is leading them the wrong way, or somebody who is doing something and other people are following off the ice. They need to straighten that stuff up inside the locker room.†After going 6-1 to start November, the Flyers’ play suddenly dropped off. The team lost eight of nine before achieving a 6-2 win against the Islanders on Tuesday, coincidently, the only other team the Flyers defeated since Nov. 20. “What’s going on with this team,?†he asked. â€They’re my Flyers. I’m passionate about my Flyers, and I loved watching them for the last three months while I’ve been retired. They were killing teams in the beginning, and now they’re getting killed. What’s going on?†Many believed that coach John Stevens, who was replaced by Peter Laviolette last Friday, was not completely at fault for the lack of effort from his team. Roenick agreed. “I think it’s a bad thing to blame the coach,†he said “I think Peter Laviolette is a great coach, I think John Stevens did a great job. But now, it’s in the locker room somewhere. They had better straighten that out, because they can still turn their season around. Something is up, because a team doesn’t just flip like that with the players that they have on that team without something going wrong internally.†But Carter got it on with Hartnell's wife huh? I'd like to see that argument. "Unlike you Scott, Jeff ***** me like a man!"
Datsasuk 2 Report post Posted December 16, 2009 How well have the Flyers been doing with their roster? Yeah, we should emulate their style of play. The Flyers style of play is obviously the best way to win a Stanley Cup. Goonery at its best.
dropkickshanahans 463 Report post Posted December 16, 2009 The Ducks style of play is obviously the best way to win a Stanley Cup. Goonery at its best. fixed. But although Carter seems to be center of attention with this whole Hartnel's wife deal, this all seemed to stem back to other players, including Richards, having a problem with partying so much that the GM had to take issue with it. Guest ZetterbergFourty Report post Posted December 17, 2009 (edited) I dont really like either of these teams, but the games they play nowadays are similar to Wing/Avs games of the late 90's and early 00's. Entertaining stuff. Edited December 17, 2009 by ZetterbergFourty

Where is this video you speak of btw, post it. Every player Crosby has fought in the NHL has been about the same size as him. Also, if you're going to call out players for not accepting fight invites from Pronger, why not start with Wings who have skated away with their tails between their legs when he offered to rearrange their faces?
