haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted December 31, 2009 The thing I don't get about Leino is as a prospect, some of his attributes were listed as "Strong down low on the cycle ... Controls the puck well along the boards ... Competitive and determined." Where has that Ville Leino been?
Zetts 236 Report post Posted December 31, 2009 For a second I thought Eaves was a healthy scratch and almost threw up. Get better soon!

ben_usmc 253 Report post Posted December 31, 2009 I would rather have Eaves in with the flu then Leino (with his current level of play)
haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted December 31, 2009 I'm predicting a Gordie Howe hat trick tonight for Leino. Who's with me? I think your expectations are totally unrealistic. I'll settle for an ordinary hat trick. It does even have to be a natural one.
Zetts 236 Report post Posted December 31, 2009 (edited) I'm predicting a Gordie Howe hat trick tonight for Leino. Who's with me? I'd be satisfied with a finished check. I know the NHL's stat for hitting isn't the best, but you can still get a general idea of how much a guy hits with it. Ville Leino has 9 hits in 35 games, having played 490 minutes and 50 seconds on the ice. Ugh. Edit: For the sake of comparison: Franzen, who is criticized for being soft here, has 11 hits in 3 games. Meech has the same number of hits a Leino, but in only 23 games, and with 277:21 TOI. Sure Leino shouldn't be running people over, but a certain compete level is always nice. Rivalred 630 Report post Posted December 31, 2009 If there were no injuries Leino would of been out a long time ago. You better play like the world is going to end tonight Leiono because once all the guys come back, your donezo.
henrik40 76 Report post Posted December 31, 2009 Yeah! Don't criticize Leino's poor and underachieving play on a public message board! Jerks! But seriously, I hope he's just underachieving because there is a lot more pressure on him right now to perform and he's still so young. I guess time will tell. Finnish Wing 110 Report post Posted December 31, 2009 If there were no injuries Leino would of been out a long time ago. You better play like the world is going to end tonight Leiono because once all the guys come back, your donezo. Donezo in the Red Wings maybe, but there are many teams that have much worse offense than this team (when healthy). Plus, this isn't even his last year of contract.
