is The Mule crying now?

Nope. The Mule is laughing hysterically at the fact that your team completely buckled under pressure.

Remember when I said nobody on your squad was up to par with Jordan Eberle?

For being the main trash talker in the thread I at least expected ref bias excuses or all Vancouver 2010 talk....

Edit- no doubt Eberle proved his mettle. But lets hope he isnt the next Mr. Clutch like Drury (I'm honestly a bit surprised Drury is going to Vancouver) And for "completely buckling" they did a good job of WINNING :P

From one Canadian to another, really?

Edit: Don't be a dick, give the USA their due, they played an excellent game.

I agree.

Congrats to the Americans. It was one hell of a game, but the better team won.

If the wings could block shots like that then we wouldn't lose a game.

You guys took it on our ice, but we will be back for revenge next year in Buffalo.

Oh and the Olympics, thats ours too :P

Once again Congrats!

That was a great game to watch...sad thing is I bet most people here in the USA have no idea it even happened!

Agreed. I had to watch a justin.tv stream of it and it was more entertaining than a lot of the Stanley Cup Playoff games I watched last year.

Congrats to team USA! The better goaltender won...

fixd

I felt like the teams were so evenly matched that it was really up to the goalies to make or break the game, and Campbell did exactly that. Great game to watch, unbelievable how Eberle finds a way to score when he does.

like I said, this was my first WJC, and I was really impressed with the speed of these guys. It looked like there were 10 darren helms on the ice at all times. I thought the games was really close until the last 5 minutes of the 3rd where Canada just dominated. I did think the penalty for goalie interference was a weak one, especially after all the stuff they let fly in that game. Still a great game.

My condolences to the Canadians. I thought the game was fantastic. The goalies were a bit suspect on both sides but the play overall was terrific and the pace was off the charts. Really beautiful hockey to watch.

I really envy the pride and passion from the Canadians when it comes to hockey. I have to find an online feed to watch the game here, but in Canada, the WJC is such a huge event. And the class of the fans cheering the winners no matter who it is. It's really remarkable.

I'm really happy our kids found a way to pull this one out. The heartbreak of blowing another game like that would have been unbearable. Both teams played their hearts out.

Canada's Junior games never disappoint. That was some exciting hockey.

It really is a shame that Eberle is Oiler's property. That means I'm going to have to hate him when he's in the NHL. And it looks like it would be so fun to follow his career. Oh well.
