themule0932 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2010 Nothing against Brad may but that has to be a complete confidence killer for Leino to be replaced by someone who does not have a scoring touch whatsoever (not that Leino really does )

esteef 2,679 Report post Posted January 5, 2010 Nothing against Brad may but that has to be a complete confidence killer for Leino to be replaced by someone who does not have a scoring touch whatsoever (not that Leino really does ) Ville's smart enough (hopefully) to understand why he is sitting this game. And if he's not, Babs covered it anyway... “I never gave him much of a chance against Phoenix (7:05 in ice time), it was just the way the game went,'' coach Mike Babcock said. "I want May in the lineup for this game. I don’t think this is one of those ones where I sat out Ville because he didn’t compete.'' esteef
Reds4Life 51 Report post Posted January 5, 2010 This may be good idea against the F)ucks. May could beat up Perry or Niedermayer

Miller Brew 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2010 Off topic (kinda), last time I watched Ducks they weren't goonery, in fact they looked.. droggy. I'm thinking that since Getzaf is out that it sucked the wind out of their team. So, for an on topic prediction, I doubt May drops 'em tonight.

I'm thinking that since Getzaf is out that it sucked the wind out of their team. So, for an on topic prediction, I doubt May drops 'em tonight. Hopefully he won't have to. He's coming off an injury and if he can keep the ducks honest without fighting, all the better. Ideally, he deters any thuggery from the Ducks - that's why he was brought in, according to Babs. May fights more often because doing so is necesarry to maintain his deterrant staus than he does because he has failed as a deterrant.
Miller Brew 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2010 I'll be honest, I don't see how fighting 'enforces' other teams players to play nice. Maybe back in the 90's it served it's purpose, but I don't think fighting brings nothing more than entertainment value to the fans. Not saying that I want Leino in the line-up because he's not gritty enough in the corners nor does he hit enough... that is why I think May is in the line-up more so than 'enforcing'. Because there's been plenty of cheap shots that injured our players while May was in the line-up, his 'enforcing' presence had no factor on how the other team played. Rivalred 630 Report post Posted January 5, 2010 (edited) Just reinforces the Boyd vs Ville thread even more This was in the thread that I mentioned above with my response: what line is he on right now? I guess tonight, Ville will be in the concession line... Edited January 5, 2010 by Rivalred
dat's sick 1,002 Report post Posted January 5, 2010 (edited) Honestly, we've been having a tough-ass time scoring for a while. I'd rather have Leino in there who might maybe possibly score. We're not getting out-muscled or pushed around by anyone.. with the lack of scoring we have I don't think we can afford to dress an enforcer over a (potential) scorer. And I have absolutely nothing against May. Edited January 5, 2010 by dat's sick

I could see him going with Parros in a staged fight. It'll end the way every Parros fight does. He drops the gloves, squares up, throws a few off balance punches, then falls down on his own. mmamolo 287 Report post Posted January 5, 2010 Although I like that Ritola has been getting a good shot at soem time I probably would have sat him in favour of Leino. I think Leino looked better and scored a good goal for us. Although he was quiet against the Avs. I dont know, it's tough to say. Either way, May deserved to be in the line up tonight and it just makes sense.

Rick Zombos Ghost 82 Report post Posted January 5, 2010 How many penalties did Parros's stache take last game? i seem to remember it taking 2 or 3 offensive zone penalties including running over howard.
haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted January 5, 2010 How many penalties did Parros's stache take last game? I think it got a 5 minute major and a match penalty for overshooting retro porn-stache and looking more like pedophile.
