Carman 387 Report post Posted January 19, 2010 Get it done, Kenny? Eww hell no Kenny. Sykora is not what we need, unless he can grow a couple inches, add 40 pounds, learn the defense posistion thoroughly, increases his work ethic, and finds a way to lower his age by 10 years I don't want him. Agreed. Don't think he's gonna bring anything to what Detroit has right now. When players get healthy there will definitely be no need for him.

Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted January 19, 2010 Getting waived off the Wild? Ouch. Miller got waived off the Lightning and we picked him up and he's flourished here, so what's your point?
kook_10 1,705 Report post Posted January 19, 2010 (edited) Miller got waived off the Lightning and we picked him up and he's flourished here, so what's your point? If by flourish you mean "tries hard and doesn't produce", then we don't need any more flourishing. Edited January 19, 2010 by kook_10
revel#13 0 Report post Posted January 19, 2010 http://wcco.com/wireapsportsmn/Wild.put.Petr.2.1435785.html We have great luck turning careers around. This is a natural goal scorer with lots of potential and for very low money comparatively. Any thoughts on should the wings pick him up and let possibly Leino go on waivers or someone else? Datsyerberger 279 Report post Posted January 19, 2010 Miller got waived off the Lightning and we picked him up and he's flourished here, so what's your point? Yea, but the Wild need offense and the TBL have a glut of grinders. Offensive guy gets waived for not producing offensively on a team that needs it vs grinder on grinder glut team... bad comparison. Nev 1,085 Report post Posted January 19, 2010 I could be wrong but I beleive Babcock coached Sykora in Anaheim. He should know if hes worth a flyer. Yes he did. After Sykora scored that heartbreaker in Game 5, at the Joe Babs said as soon as the puck was on his stick, he knew the game was over. I wouldn't be surprised to see us pick him up. He's only $1.6M and we're dead last in the west in scoring. How often have we bemoaned the lack of a sniper on Datsyuks wing? If he's still a bum, well, we can just waive him again, right? Guest Crymson Report post Posted January 19, 2010 Via Bob McKenzie Only three points in 14 games. Let's get him! He's on waivers because he has been beyond terrible, and he was a healthy scratch throughout most of last year's playoffs, but hey---I'm SURE he'll rejuvenate his career in Detroit! mjlegend 155 Report post Posted January 19, 2010 Pick him up only if he decides to show up in Overtime of a Stanley Cup Finals game. Heh. Luckily for them the Wings never get to the Final... I don't know the waiver order right now but I wouldn't be surprised to see Pitts grab him again. Somebody will pick him up at $1.6 mil.
Heroes of Hockeytown 694 Report post Posted January 19, 2010 Even if he were any good, the Wings already have too many players to fit their available roster space once they get healthy. They can't take on anybody without needing to waive/trade players.
