I agree, Olympic Hockey was cool, but the Gold Medal game is nothing but an NHL All-Star game... ...proposed NEW Olympic rule, if you get paid to play a sport, you cannot participate in the Olympics. Lets send our College kids and Canada can send their College/Juniors and even the Euro-Teams have to send kids that don't get a salary playing hockey. This All star crap is fun to watch, but it really water's down the meaning of the Olympics. There are plenty of European players out there who aren't yet pros that they can suit up for Team Russia/Sweden/Slovakia/etc.... etc.... This NHL all-star tourney has to end.... Nobody is amateur anymore, are you trying to tell me Shaun White is amateur, they all get paid, most of the american athletes don't even have to work, Canada isn't much better. The olympics are now about the best athletes in their sport. I tried to explain this to you the other day but it's quite obvious you dont get it. They all get paid, some more than others.
