Guest Howard He Do It?! Report post Posted February 28, 2010 I don't think it will be an issue. Let them play and only make calls when absolutely necessary.
Guest Crymson Report post Posted February 28, 2010 O'Halloran will be on the ice for a Babcock-coached hockey game? Well, that's actually very good news for Team USA!

Barrie 900 Report post Posted February 28, 2010 (edited) I don't think you have to worry about McCreary and O’Halloran. Edit: Also, they work the majority of the time in the USA in front of American's, they won't screw 'em. Edited February 28, 2010 by Barrie

Green Wing 26 Report post Posted February 28, 2010 Don't they have an official that deserves to referee the game more than O'Halloran? The guy's a complete tool and a terrible ref.
skyphoenix 153 Report post Posted February 28, 2010 Don't they have an official that deserves to referee the game more than O'Halloran? The guy's a complete tool and a terrible ref. I agree with this. I don't think nationality matters much but the fact that O'Halloran is reffing the game is terrible.
TheDetroitRedWings 286 Report post Posted February 28, 2010 Not that I think the refs will be biased or anything. But that does seam a little insane to have almost all of the refs be Canadian, when Canada is one of the countries involved. I'm fairly certain that if it were announced that all the refs for the game will be American, Canadian fans would be go crazy.
puckbags 863 Report post Posted February 28, 2010 That'll begin tomorrow after Canada loses. Face it Canada, no matter what, you'll always be the 51st State... Funny that the 51st state has more gold medals than a country with 10 times as many people. And to top it off we will set the recored for most golds in a winter games with our win tommorrow ! Last I checked the medal count was untouchable. I don't care how many Golds you have, it's about consistency across the board. And yo can have the Gold tomorrow, it's just an NHL all star game, exactly like 2002, where were you prior to allowing NHL players in the Olympics? Oh, I see, 1952, that's where you were! You can have one more Gold but until you beat the other 50 states in total medals, you will always be little brother... buh bye now....

Pucks 66 Report post Posted February 28, 2010 (edited) That's terrible there shouldn't be any refs from either participating country at all. This has disaster written all over it. Edited February 28, 2010 by Pucks

Not one, or two, or three, ******* 11! Gee what would I rather have 3 more golds or 11 more total Olympic Medals??? Yeah I'll take the most medals. We've destroyed you guys in consistency with winning Olympic Medals. And half of our country has basically no winter. How was that reality check for ya? Oh and also, watch us once again dominate the medal count in the summer olympics too. Wonder if Canada will even get 1 single medal? soonboomer 31 Report post Posted February 28, 2010 Other than hockey, the winter olympics are a bunch of "I don't give a s***" sports to the vast majority of American sports fans. Come to think of it, hockey probably falls into that category as well.

Nobody gives a flying s*** who came 2nd and I can guarantee they won't care or remember who came 3rd. I don't give a s*** about the silvers or bronze we have won. It's all about the gold ! And if you are implying that this years olympic tournament has been played like an all star game then you are obviously as dumb as you sound the other 99% of the time on this site ! And in 1952, I wasnt born so I don't really care, Live in the now, you sound like a Habs fan living for the Stanley Cups they won many moons ago!
Pucks 66 Report post Posted February 28, 2010 (edited) Don't understand some of the people from canada on here that root for the Red Wings? Why not root for one of your own teams like the Laffs? Oh probably because you want to actually see you team skate around with the cup. Edited February 28, 2010 by Pucks

Wonder if Canada will even get 1 single medal? Ok, then going by your theory and the fact you have 10 times as many people as us I would`ve hoped that you would`ve gotten a few more medals. THe USA the best country in the world spends more money on their athletes than any other country, s*** most of your athletes don`t even have to work, they freeload off your tax money so they can train all year long and then they don`t even win that many golds. But I mean if you like to settle for 2nd or 3rd thats your call.

Thats how I became a red wings fan. Half the team is euros, half the fans drive across the bridge from Canada, they are paid in American dollars. That argument is just stupid. How many Gold medals in Olympic Hockey do you have prior to the NHL players participating since 1952? Hmmmmm, ZERO, if you count the NHL players in 2002, you still only have 1 compared to 2 USA Golds. Speaking of many moons ago, when's the last time a Canadian Team won the Stanley Cup? Ouch! Dude, you sound dumb. I don't care who wins tomorrow because it'll be just the same as the Eastern Conference beating the Western Conference. The FINAL is an NHL All Star game, no different. With the exception of a couple of teams in this tourney, it's all been an NHL all star tourney. The Olympics need to be the best AMATEUR players in the world, not paid professionals. Go USA, because I am American, but Gold, Silver or Bronze, it's about consistency. You got 13 Golds, but how many 4th place or worse do you have? Oh, BTW, 1993 is the last time a Canadian team won the Cup, so just in case you weren't born then either (and it sounds that way from your posts) I thought maybe I'd fill ya in... Enjoy the All Star game tomorrow, I got better things to do.
TheDetroitRedWings 286 Report post Posted February 28, 2010 But I mean if you like to settle for 2nd or 3rd thats your call. Settling for 2nd and 3rd?? We have the second most golds in the olympics. The point is, not only can we win several golds. We can also say we have one of the bests in the world at MANY more events than Canada. Most gold, silver and bronze winners are separated by fractions, which means on any given day who knows what might happen. The United States has the most consistent, dominate athletes, in the most events, of all other countries in the world. Hence the fact that we're destroying Canada in medals. And right now half of our country is in 70+ degree weather. And we're even more dominant in the summer olympics. Can't wait to here the crickets chirping in Canada when they don't achieve even 1 single gold medal. Americans are dominant in the winter and summer. So yeah I hope you don't hurt your back while your bowing to the most dominant country in the world.

Why the hell would you root for the Wings? I could understand if you lived in the USA before moving to canada or something like that. But for someone so proud of your country ,that fact that you root for an American owned, run team seems really odd. Maybe it makes sense somehow eh? If I didn't root for the Wings I can sure as hell say I'd never root for a foreign team, even if all mine sucked. Edited February 28, 2010 by Pucks
