I wanted a close game, but in retrospect, I'd rather see the U.S. lose 5-0 than to lose in this fashion with Crysby scoring the goal.
My biggest fear going into OT would be that the game would be decided in a shootout, but for some reason seeing Crysby score the goal never entered into my mind. I didn't think something so cruel was so possible.

Come to think of it, I'd rather see Osama Bin Laden jump over the boards and score that goal against USA, instead of Crosby.
According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

Is that a law school joke?

All as a result of shorthanded goals.

Hey, I thought it was pretty funny.

Here's the law school joke;

I'd rather take another bar exam tomorrow than see Crosby score that goal today.
According to my profile, my reputation is excellent. LOL.

What's the score?

You were up 2-0, but blew it down the stretch.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply it wasn't funny. It was actually... I'd say, above average shock value.

As far as the other joke, wow you really didn't want that goal to happen huh? That's pretty serious.

I remember him walking onto the ice towards the celebrating players with a huge scowl on his face.

Nice, NICE post. beerchug.gif

Thanks!

I'm just glad the game wasn't decided by a shootout. Nice to have that climactic ending to a superb game, giving non-hockey fans a taste of the thrill of winning top honors in hockey--the Stanley Cup!

Does anyone else have the feeling that these games and the 2014 games will mirror the 2008 and 2009 SCF? I can't help but feel that USA will come back and win gold in 2014.

He will have to get in line, behind Evgeni Plushenko, for the title of most pissed-off Russian in these Olympic games. hehe.gif

Back to arguing about Osgood, Filppula and enforcers. Good times to be had by all.

And wing meltdowns. Tomorrow we get the side special of Lilja's return. Should be some good takes on that.
