Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted April 6, 2010 What? From March until the end of the season they went 12-2-1 that year. He's probably thinking of their play in February. That year they only won one game over a 11 game span if I remember correctly.
miller76 463 Report post Posted April 6, 2010 I must say the numbers are definetly impressive, since the olympic break. I like this teams chances. But a first round match up between the Wings and the Canucks would probably be the biggest first match up, this year.
LeftWinger 5,153 Report post Posted April 6, 2010 Well, considering that Vancouver just may be our first round opponent, that marquee match up will be done and over quickly! Nice that Detroit is getting some props now, but like someone said earlier, I prefer to be the underdog this year. Next year we can be the favorites when we look to repeat! Yzerman191 37 Report post Posted April 6, 2010 I can't see the Capitals making it to the Stanley Cup Finals, let alone winning. They have questionable goaltending, lackluster defense, and a balls-to-the-wall style offense that just doesn't seem to work very well in the playoffs. I think New Jersey or Pittsburgh has a great shot at beating them in a best-of-seven series.
egroen 384 Report post Posted April 6, 2010 I'm favoring New Jersey from the East, though who really knows... whomever it is will get beat. The West is ridiculous this year and whichever team is lucky enough to escape this year will still have enough in them to beat an Eastern team with an easy road. I won't lie, I'll be really disappointed if that team from the West is not the Wings.

13dangledangle 968 Report post Posted April 6, 2010 I AM SORRY FOR ALL THE CAPS BUT WOULD SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY VANCOUVER IS A FAVORITE? TO ME THEY ARE THE 2ND BORN SHARKS...CHOKE MUCH, CAUSE THERE GOING TOO!
cupforwings 138 Report post Posted April 6, 2010 It will be either Detroit or Chicago, and most likely one of those teams will win the cup
HockeyTownHouligan 57 Report post Posted April 6, 2010 nothing would make me happier than to see Nick lift that cup maybe for the last time in his career and to see Bert give buttman the finger and lift the cup right in front of him. Actually I would like the whole team to give buttman the finger while celebrating.

Actually I would like the whole team to give buttman the finger while celebrating. Instead of lifting The Cup first, how about they just pick up Bettman & heave him over the glass? I for one would pay to watch that.

Guest mjtm77 Report post Posted April 6, 2010 (edited) we will play van in the first round. To play the yotes we need to go 2-0-1 and nashvill would have to go 1-1 dont see it happening Edited April 6, 2010 by mjtm77
Broken 16 381 Report post Posted April 6, 2010 Detroit v. New Jersey to end the argument once and for all! It wouldn't end it... it would even it. Phoenix is the only team that really creeps me out from the West. Too many question marks there. And a boring defensive style to boot. No thanks. Personally, I'd love to see another Wings/Pens matchup.
