Drake_Marcus 890 Report post Posted June 27, 2010 Nice. A young coach with his resume doesn't come along every day. I'd like to see Babcock deal with some young players a bit better than he did Hudler but other than that I can't complain.
Wings_Toledo 233 Report post Posted June 27, 2010 As frustrating as his decisions are at times, I don't think there's a better coach out there for the Wings right now. Hopefully he sticks around for a long time.

Guest CaliWingsNut Report post Posted June 27, 2010 Babs has done well, especially considering the hole we were in last year. I'd be happy with him for several more years.

titanium2 867 Report post Posted June 27, 2010 The terms of his next contract will be determined by the following: -2% raise if he begins over 98% of his press answers with "Well," -3% raise if he says certain Wings players are "as good as any in the league." -Filipoohlah -1% raise if after every game he credits the "preparation" and "structure." -50% raise if he says to press, "I like winning" Am I forgetting any? zombi 43 Report post Posted June 27, 2010 Any water bottle expenses come directly out of his salary. With as often as he opens and closes those damn things during his press conferences, he should have palms similar to mine after a long while of playing Mario Party 1 Branton87 reacted to this

NomadFromKazoo 42 Report post Posted June 27, 2010 He's done everything we can ask. If we get this done with the FO extensions and our best players signed forever we're looking good for a long time to come. If the economy comes back and the cap starts actually going up, we're going to be in great shape to get some serious depth like the pre-cap days. There's a reason good teams are good, and it's not just having more money. Though having more money is better then not... 1 Original-Six reacted to this

MCleveland89 122 Report post Posted June 27, 2010 “I’m staying if they’d like to have me,” Babcock said. “But I haven’t really even thought about it - I just assumed I’m staying.” Ditto here. I can't imagine having anyone else.

stevkrause 1,247 Report post Posted June 29, 2010 That is amazing news... I would like to see him have one of those epic tenures that last WAY above and beyond normalcy - The guy is arguably the best coach in the game right now and just flat out knows how to win!
