As she has said before and I agree, we cannot win the game unless we have offense. Jimmy could play a nearly perfect game, but if we don't score any goals then how can we win? It always turns into blaming the goalie for everything that goes wrong, but the entire team needs to work on the offense and defense.

It's about the context of it.

I'm not "blaming" him, but he can improve. He needs to be better with his style and positioning. It is killing him on a lot of goals this season.

I hope the entire 2nd intermission they just watch the replay over and over again of Kopecky owning their lazy asses.

I like this idea. Either that, or have Babs just sit there, staring at each player, but saying nothing.

Embarrassing performance tonight, and the 2nd line had better be split up in the 3rd.

If your team's pitcher goes out there and spots the other team 10 runs in the top of the 1st, how motivated do you think your guys are going to be to get off the schnide and start scoring?

I'm not saying Jimmy should be blamed for every loss that occurs when he's between the pipes, nor am I saying every loss is entirely his fault. However much like the pitcher, the goalie sets the tone. If he starts giving up goals left and right, that's going to put everyone else in a defeatist mindset and they're not going to play well. If you're down 4 goals in the 3rd, you're not exactly going to be hustling out there. That's the players' fault for not sacking up and doing their jobs despite the deficit, but the fish rots from the head down.

Howard has been givin his best Osgood impersonation lately (at least 3 goals against).

I'm most disappointed in Franzen though ... He's looking like Lang out there. Babcock needs to chain him to the front of the net ala Bowman on Holmstrom for a spell. Man up, Mule!

Good point. We all get discouraged just watching, the guys must have that happen too. But they are the professionals so they need to know how to get past it and find that motivation to win.

Let's have a very good 4rd! Go Wings!!

This is what happens when you have a team full of soft Euros who are trying to make pretty boy plays, instead of shooting the puck at the net and crashing it.

Completely lazy effort and way too many cute plays.

And Eddie Olczyk doing our games is getting ******* old. He always talks about subtle interference, but he subtly hates the Wings.

I would love to see an " active stick" taken to his head.

Eddie O just compared Hossa to Dats...saying Hossa is just as good at playing the puck...don't know if I agree w/that.

Not to say Hossa is not a great stick handler but.... Hahahahaha!

Just remember that Eddie O coached the Penguins with Crosby to the basement of the league. I think it's safe to say that he doesn't know a whole lot about hockey.
