Chicago was lucky to escape the first period up by a goal. Detroit actually played Detroit hockey for the second half of the first period. Then decided to order a few Chicago pizzas and relax the rest of the way.

So...yeah... Wings when you notice the puck is jumping and most passes are getting deflected stop trying to go for the perfect play and shoot the damn thing.

The quote from Babs a few days ago sums up this game, "You can look like the Globetrotters on the outside, but the game is won on the inside." Even though that was in reference to the PP it applied to this game very well.

Joke effort from the Wings. Really smacked of complacency against half an AHL team. Got out-worked.

Where the hell has Franzen been the last couple of weeks. Maybe when he's not scoring he looks terrible, but man he's not good out there. Zetterberg is Mr Clutch but I guess cos this isn't clutch-time he can suck ass right? Maybe he's entitled. Filppula I think has still been good defensively even if he's reverting to his old ways as regards shooting the puck, ie, not.

Yeah, doubt it. I said it before the season started that Chicago won't make the playoffs. I would love for a first round match up versus Hawks, but I doubt they beat out either Coyotes, Blues, or Nashville for the 8th spot... and I'm not counting out Blue Jackets yet either. West is too tight and Chicago has been horrible.

Edit: I also forgot about the Ducks. They have been decent this year as well. 6th, 7th and 8th place is going to be a dog fight between those teams, and 'Yotes, Ducks and Blues have the goaltending to win their spots.Chicago... not so much.

that was a horrible game to watch. 1. whoever the one announcer is, is a complete dumbass. I guess it was keith jones? All he did was talk s*** about the wings interference, and how howard threw his stick. Um didnt the hawks just do that a few games ago and it didnt get called and hes talking s*** about howard? cmon now, i thought they were supposed to be mutual? Also the crowd annoying dumb s***. what were they saying we want cup? its a long time away shutup

on top of that the wings suckeddd all of them. i cant say i was pleased with any one of them. especially the 2nd line wow what a s***ty line.

I cant believe lids got schooled by kopecky. ARG pick it up for ozzie on sunday #400 get him it!
