CopenhagenWing 38 Report post Posted December 28, 2010 Not surprising. When is the coaching change?
stevkrause 1,247 Report post Posted December 28, 2010 Long overdue and one horrible off-season and a Jokinen contract too late...
Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted December 28, 2010 Few years too late, now if Feaster blows up the team (trades Iginla, Kiprusoff, Bouwmeester, Regehr, etc.) then the Flames will be a team some day soon. If he continues to operate like Sutter did, they'll continue to stink. I'm sure the fans in town will be loving this today idiots
dobbles 252 Report post Posted December 28, 2010 i think they waited too long for this move. they made excuses for too long about how sutter inherited a crappy team with no depth. but in almost a decade, he really did nothing to change that. that team had a lucky playoff run and thats about it. dragonballgtz 273 Report post Posted December 28, 2010 Well even with the GM change there are to many NTC/NMC on current contracts that will stop them from rebuilding (if the new GM wants to) for at least another year.
cusimano_brothers 1,655 Report post Posted December 28, 2010 He must have known that he would have a crappy Christmas after he traded his son Brett.
GMRwings1983 8,804 Report post Posted December 28, 2010 About time. The Sutter family has kept the Flames in the toilet for way too long.
Guest Crymson Report post Posted December 28, 2010 The Sutters have made a hash of that team.
Donaldjr2448 43 Report post Posted December 28, 2010 Does Ollie have a No Trade Clause??? if not, I expect to see him traded very very soon!!
Bar Down 107 Report post Posted December 28, 2010 Does Ollie have a No Trade Clause??? if not, I expect to see him traded very very soon!! According to capgeek.com he actually does. Along with Iginla, Langkow, Bourque, Stajan, Kotalik and Tanguay. Sutter sure put together a "core" of mediocrity.

VM1138 1,921 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 I'll take Boumeester or Iginla, Iginla for cheap and Bouwmeester for Hudler, straight up, haha.
stevkrause 1,247 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 I'll take Boumeester or Iginla, Iginla for cheap and Bouwmeester for Hudler, straight up, haha. I know you're just making a joke, but it's too bad that Iginla's making so much... how great would he look here as a rental for a cup run?
titanium2 867 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 I know you're just making a joke, but it's too bad that Iginla's making so much... how great would he look here as a rental for a cup run? So ridiculous. I've always thought of him as one of the more perfect fits on Z's wing.

Detroit # 1 Fan 2,204 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 I'd take Glencross off there hands, he's a FA this offseason so money isnt a problem, rugged winger capable of scoring 15+ goals a year. Iginla obviously would be unreal, but if Calgary trade him they'd be stupid to trade him into the West. Then again it is Calgary afterall
GoWings1905 2,694 Report post Posted December 29, 2010 I'd take Regehr in a second. He's very solid on the blueline.
Chairman Maouth 97 Report post Posted December 30, 2010 (edited) As a Canucks fan this is devestating. The flame of my own life will shine a little dimmer now that Darryl Sutter is gone. I can no longer post my Calgary Hillbillies Photoshop with Darryl as Jed Clampett and Brent as Jethro -- and even more devastating for me, it rips out a big piece of my heart in that I can no longer listen to Flames fans drunk-dial the Fan 960 radio talk show after every Sutter trade. Things will never again be the same, and I fear that a cold wind will soon take over the special place in my heart that Darryl Sutter once occupied there. Pray for me..... please.
