In true Crosby fashion, I assume he'll play the blame game, whine about the hit on which he dove and give no credit whatsoever to Varlamov.

That's not the point. It's not needed in the outdoor game either.

How the wind blows can (note CAN, not that it always does) have a huge effect on the play. Ask your kids what it's like with the wind blowing in your face as opposed to your back.

Switching (or having the option of switching) just makes it more fair in games where there are elements such as wind, blowing snow, or rain.

However, it's just outdoor games, so it's not a big deal.

I don't blame the Pens for not shaking honestly. If Crosby wasn't going to, it'd be a bigger s***storm if they ignored him and went to shake anyways. Do as your captain does, like someone else said.

That's what's all over Twitter. Even NBC was confused why there was no handshakes.

I have absolutely no doubt now that it was no mistake that Crosby didn't shake Nick's hand (yeah, yeah, call me out for bringing that up again two years later, whatever). Good job marketing the game, Crybaby.

did anyone else see crosby say "let's go" at the end there when they were standing around? you couldn't hear it but you could read his lips. i was wondering why the pens were just standing around and watching the caps celebrate. and then sid said let's go and they went off the ice. i think they got fed up with the caps celebrating and decided to leave.

did anyone else see this or am i just imagining things?

I didn't even watch this game and Bettman just succeeded in making me think that Crosby's an even BIGGER crybaby after this one. I don't think that was the aim of this event.
