Konnan511 1,736 Report post Posted February 1, 2011 Here's the lines they are skating with: Cleary-Datsyuk-Bertuzzi Franzen-Zetterberg-Eaves Hudler-Filppula-Abdelkader Draper-Helm-Miller Also from Khan: The Detroit Red Wings today recalled forward Jan Mursak from the Grand Rapids Griffins. That means one of their injured forwards who is close to returning, likely Danny Cleary, isn't ready to return for Wednesday's game at Ottawa, or they're not sure yet and want to keep an extra forward just in case. Apparently the lines will be: Franzen - Zetterberg - Bertuzzi Hudler - Filppula - Cleary Draper - Helm - Eaves Miller - Abdelkader - Mursak I'm a bit surprised they wouldnt go back to Hud/Fil/Bert and put Cleary with Franzen and Zetterberg but maybe they figure Cleary will add more speed to Hudler's line. Kinda stinks he had to break up Eaves-Zetterberg-Franzen with how well they've played together, but with who's healthy and their natural positions, it makes sense... We haven't seen that line since the 09 playoffs. At least I can't recall a time when those three played together. When Hossa left Babs had to bump up his next best sniper, which is Mule. But being probably one of the biggest Hank/Cleary slappies on these forums or otherwise, I feel they are just about the perfect compliment of playmaker, sniper, and power forward you could get. '09 Playoffs was the last time, but Babs occasionally drops Clears in with the top line. Can't say it wouldn't be out of the realm here given its past success.
