Jimmy Howard describes Nyquist as a poor man's Zetterberg.

Opening Night at the Van Andel tonight. I'm excited to see what kind of horrible things Nyquist can do to other AHLers.

And with no Detroit playing tonight, you can ALL watch if you click on drumnj's profile and go from there! NO excuses!! Go Gus, go Griffins!

Is Drum showing the griffs this year for sure again? I know it was up in the air during the preseason as to whether he would or not...

I watched the Griffins first game, so I sure hope it continues. I'd be more than happy to donate if that's what it takes for him to keep streaming them.

Gustav scores a few seconds away from the 1st intermission.

I just knew as soon as I saw this thread had an update that Gus got a point somehow.

He's got two points now. :D

G, 2A in 2 games. He's so, so skilled, had a few shifts where he put on a show tonight.

Wow Nyquist dominated that game.

Made high calibre prospect Joe Colborne look non existant out there.

Hes gonna be the next Detroit big gun.

Oh and another fight for Callahan too

Psh... Took him 2 games to get above a ppg pace at the AHL level? Bust.

:hehe:

So he said #89 wasn't available as a number for him. If you look at the current roster, Doug Janik has the highest number at 33 and officially Bryan Rufenach has the highest number at 44 should he ever play a game for the Griffins. I wonder if they have a nothing higher than 50 kind of rule, heh.
