Can someone give a quick synopsis of the 1st period for me? How is Nashville looking against vancouver? Is vancouver showing any signs of wear/tear or letdown?

I thought the game started at 10 or 10:30 so I just sat down to watch it and it's 1st intermission! DOH!

Vancouver is dominating on the dot and controlling most of the play. Rinne is playing very well. The Preds have had very little sustained pressure. If this continues, it is only a matter of time before the Canucks score.

I didn't see any signs of weardown on Vancouver at all. They got some quality shots and chances. Rinne has been solid though. Nashville hasn't had much time with the puck, imo.

I'm a stickler about quality. Yes, I realize this is funny after what I just admitted too. I can never find too many high quality streams outside of game center, but then I have to deal with the blackouts. I like to watch TV in general though so cable isn't a complete waste.

Preds PK takes care of business.

1:29 of fresh ice PP time for the Preds when play resumes in the 2nd.

Hockeystreams.com has no blackouts and is less than half the price of GameCenter.

I've looked at them before. It doesn't seem kosher if you know what I mean.

The Preds are lucky they have Rinne and are even luckier that he is not playing as poorly as he was against the Ducks.

Having watched about 10 minutes of this game it doesn't look like anywhere near the intensity of the chicago series.

Is nashville really that inferior or are they rusty? WTF?

Well, given what Rinne is doing maybe we should be fortunate to draw Niemi and his dangerous 86% save percentage.

Would you be more worried if you were a Preds fan, inability to generate any kind of offense, or a Canucks fan, inability to bury the puck despite dominating every facet of the game?

Nashville is rusty. Trotz implied as such during a short mid-game interview that their compete level is pretty bad right now.

And the Canucks strike first. The Preds are in big trouble.

They've had an entire period to work out the rust. That should be more than enough time for an NHL team to get back in the swing of things. The Preds are just playing against a much better team right now. Any game where Luongo's name isn't mentioned is a game that the Canucks are going to win. So far, that is ringing true.

The way Nashville has played, that may be the only goal Vancouver needs tonight...

QFT. The Canucks could play with 5 forwards for the rest of the game and not give up a goal. The Preds are completely pinned in their own zone and generating absolutely nothing.

I can see the clipping call. Ballard went for the knees.
