Esquire 324 Report post Posted May 25, 2011 http://www.freep.com/article/20110524/SPORTS05/110524046/1053/sports05 I'm picking up tickets to this one for sure. Anyone here from the London area and care to recommend a place to eat and grab a few cold ones?

evilmrt 636 Report post Posted May 25, 2011 Geeez...why are the tickets so expensive for an exhibition? I always thought it would be cool if they would play an exhibition in The Barn in Windsor...thats where it all started anyway.
Guest Shoreline Report post Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) f***, man. My wife is due 5 days after that. Obviously a no-go for me. Extra sucky since my birthday is the 17th. Edit: Wife telling me she'll talk to her doctor and if doctor gives her the go-ahead perhaps we'll do it. redwingfan19 293 Report post Posted May 25, 2011 yes!!! I am from London and will definitely be there. never seen the wings in my hometown before which will be cool. not a bad seat in the JLC so the 65$ ticket will be fine with me. to the OP. Friday night lights is good but the owner is a scumbag, scots corner which is an scottish/english pub is a cool place, fitzrays is good and right across the street. If your looking for something a bit more upscale robinson hall is also across the street. For food just go to the covent garden market which is, you guessed it, right across the street. Guest Shoreline Report post Posted May 25, 2011 (edited) Anyone have the prices on seats? I went to the site and couldn't find it. These tickets are pretty damn expensive for an exhibition that's only a few hours drive from Detroit. Edit: To clarify I see the price of tickets but don't see which seats are what price. HankthaTank 1,100 Report post Posted May 25, 2011 John Labatt Centre has to be one of the coolest arena names ever. I would love to do this but can't really afford the gas plus tickets, I know wah wah, but priorities Should still be a grand time, though. 1 Majsheppard reacted to this
shoe 165 Report post Posted May 25, 2011 John Labatt center is a great arena it's a feel the game type of place but ouch 65 bucks to sit in the back for pre season is pretty pricey.

PunkChildP 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2011 Worth the hour drive. Check out Joe Cools for a drink/eats before the game. About a 15 minute walk to the JLC.
CanadaBoy 151 Report post Posted May 26, 2011 Anyone driving in from Hamilton?
Zeke 5 Report post Posted May 26, 2011 Anyone driving in from Hamilton? Im from Hamilton, but this venue will probably sell out in days,if not hours. I have seen exhibition games at the acc in toronto, and they have been brutal. The Leafs play their guts out,and we field a GR team. They win by a goal or two,and celebrate like its a cup victory. Probably the highlight of their season.
