I don't remember this hit, but from the sounds of it, it was a hit in a hockey game that resulted in injury. Nothing intentional, no stick swinging.. and yet, the MTL police have decided to investigate the hit and make a decision on pressing charges.

Ridiculous.

Most nights, my posts are brought to you by some sort of IPA and a heaping dose of sarcasm.

Hold, on.. You dont remember this hit?.. Were you living under a rock for about the 3 weeks following it? Haha..

Anyways, Pacioretty even tweeted that he didn't wanna see any charges pressed and just wants to move on.. too bad none of the people in Montreal agree.

Nah, just end of the season mind purge.. especially so since it wasn't Red Wings related. ;)

I vaguely remember some hullabaloo about it, but not much else..

not often one can use hullabaloo in a sentence.. +1 for me.. haha

Bitter much.

"Hey Chara Congrats on winning the Stanley Cup, now can you come to Montreal so we can try screwing up your life with questioning and possible assault charges"?

What the hell else do they have to do in the summer in Montreal now that the Expos are long gone?

Are people in Montreal retarded? Or are they just so unbelievably butthurt that it has driven them completely insane?

I still think this is an arena issue. Why is there glass sticking out like that in Montreal and not in other arenas? Players have only a split second to make a decision, so all arenas playing surfaces should be the same.
Lets Go:
Red Wings
Tigers
Roughriders
Lions
Spartans
Pistons

Maybe the Montreal PD should worry about you know, REAL crimes. This is really pathetic that they are trying to question him on a hockey hit, sure it was a bad hit that resulted in an injury but it's Hockey, s*** happens.

It's Montreal. They get their panties twisted in a bunch anytime one of the glorious Canadiens are injured in a malicious attempt to destroy the Quebecois culture.

Had it been the other way around and a Hab had nearly decapitated a Bruin player, there'd be no police investigation, no Air Canada outrage. Nothing.

Worst case NHL scenario, a Vancouver - Montreal cup final. Lol, win or lose those cities would burn.

Unless Chara wrote in his diary he was going to attempt to take his head off on that specific portion of glass that sticks out, the MTL police can't do anything about it. They are just made because the cup was oh so close and then he stormed in a took it back.

This is asinine and just simply put, stupid and unnecessary.

Actually both probably would. One in celebration and the other in defeat.
