TheXym 2,606 Report post Posted November 6, 2011 Great to see them break the streak in such a decisive way and for Jimmy to get the shutout. As far as South Detroit, couldn't that be Windsor?

Electrophile 3,554 Report post Posted November 6, 2011 If this were baseball, fans would be accusing Nick of taking steroids. He's playing far younger than his age. Which is only a great thing for us, because we can't afford to lose his productivity or leadership.
St. Michael (the Red Wing) 422 Report post Posted November 6, 2011 (edited) Brunnstrom should get a chance in the top 6. He wasn't amazing tonight but wasn't bad either. Looked much better tonight than during that Washington drubbing. Either way it helps to play games. AND KEEP BERTUZZI OUT FFS (meaning for f*** sake). haroldsnepsts 4,826 Report post Posted November 6, 2011 And also, I'm not sold that the wings are out of their "slump" yet. The Ducks having probably been playing even worse than the Wings lately so I'm waiting for a better test. The next couple should be good tests. Agreed. I don't think all the problems are suddenly gone. The Ducks haven't been playing well and were at the end of a road trip. But hopefully this is just the boost the Wings needed to start getting things on track.

Looked much better tonight than during that Washington drubbing. Either way it helps to play games. AND KEEP BERTUZZI OUT FFS (meaning for f*** sake). He has to earn it. We're talking about a player that's been in the AHL because he couldn't crack an NHL roster. With that said, his first few shifts were great. As the game went along, his compete level went down IMO. 1 Aussie_Wing reacted to this

I agree for sure with putting Bruno into the top six or at leat a solid line 3 perhaps with Flip, he's big and good on the puck with a good shot. Let's play him with some big boys and see if can finish. I like Bert however and wouldn't mind seeing him with Bruno and Flip....I also wouldn't mind seeing these lines for a night or so... Guest Crymson Report post Posted November 6, 2011 If this were baseball, fans would be accusing Nick of taking steroids. He's playing far younger than his age. Which is only a great thing for us, because we can't afford to lose his productivity or leadership. As was written by a hockey writer last week, "Nick Lidstrom could retire after this season. Alternatively, he could keep playing until the sun explodes, racking up a few hundred more Norris trophies in the process." 4 DatsyukianDangles122, Electrophile, LidsFan and 1 other reacted to this

Red Wings Addict 787 Report post Posted November 6, 2011 Swedes had 9 points tonight. Holmström was the only one with none. None for Ericsson either. Homer though should have probably gotten a couple points for screening the goalie.
Red Wings Addict 787 Report post Posted November 6, 2011 So a win and not even 20 pages... No wonder the Wings went on a 6 game losing streak. Jesus LGW, get up on it. I completely missed the Selanne misconduct and it's not on YT. What even happened there?
OzWing19 24 Report post Posted November 6, 2011 (edited) I completely missed the Selanne misconduct and it's not on YT. What even happened there? I only skipped through the goals on GCL after work but all I could figure was that he abused the refs. Original penalty was 2+10 and after the PPG he must of said something else because he got ejected. Ironically he got sent to the box just as Mickey was talking about how Selanne and Lidstrom were gentlemen of the game lol. Anyway, put the Franzen+Filppula+Hudler+3rd Rounder for Parise trade on ice. Cup is back on. Edited November 6, 2011 by OzWing19
