Anyone remember this? The Avalanche had a squad back then with Forsberg and Roy. Saw a brawl like this in a minor league game but never in an NHL game (in person).

Wait. Anyone remember the most famous brawl in Wings history? Against the hated rivals of that time?

Nah.....

If you start a new thread within two hours after a Wings game, specifically a loss, YOU ARE WRONG.

Pavel datsyuk is the best player in the world because he snatches the puck from unsuspecting players and  follows it up by the simultaneous undressing of the defence pairing.  The end result is a calm skate back to his bench  where he can bask in the praise of his multiple girlfriends from the motherland.

Hocky was played before lockout?

You have been corrected. March 26th, 1997. My BDay is March 12th, and my buddy just happened to pick up some tickets to this game and took me there for my bday. We were losing at the time of the brawl and I remember us looking at each other and saying we don't even care if we win at this point, it was absolutely THE best game I have ever been too...

...still have the stub.

One thing that stands out after watching that video again, our team today couldn't hold the jocks of that 1997 team PLUS the NHL as a whole pales in comparison to that era of the NHL. Gary Bettman has ruined the NHL. Period.

When did they ever have one person on the team that would stickup for a teammate let alone the whole line.

What a disgrace.

That Red Wing team would have never won a cup in any area, no matter what fanboys of LGW say about it.

Now this was awesome. I remember this from my teenage days. This hockey right here is what turned me into a Red Wings fan.

I remember the night in Boston. I'm surprised they still don't boo yzerman. Don't have the time to put up the video, but I know it's on YouTube.
