I disagree the bottom 6 have been great, its the top 6 that needs the shake up.

The team could use an improvement at the fourth line center position. Gaustad or Ott would be optimal IMO.

110 users reading this thread. Looks like everyone is F5'ing for the latest. Only 3 more hours and 10 minutes to go.

I hope we make a deal and it involves dumping Kindl.

You're not likely to get both. Theoretically easier to get the plug on the lower line (and the special teams depth), than it is to get that top 6 scorer. Limited supply, high demand... High prices. They've already dealt their 1st this year and I can't see them dipping into 2013 without it being a major player coming back.

The Sportsnet coverage is available through the NHL.com press room section in addition to the Sportsnet website. The NHL.com video is working better for me FWIW.

Isles not offering Parenteau enough in contract, asking too much for him in trade. Risk losing him for nothing July 1.

We need both but we are likely only tp plug the 4th lone center spot. Grabovski would be a great pickup even at a slightly

steep price.

Allen and Spacek have left ice. Don't think anything until we confirm practice has not ended.

That is bad news. If were in competition with Vancouver for players, we won't get them. Gillis will sell the farm for marginal pieces this year.

Sportsnet saying Det is in competition with Van for players. Det is looking mainly at 3rd/4th liners- Gaustad and D. Jones mentioned.

Well, that potentially increases names thrown out there. Vancouver's been looking at Steve Ott and Dustin Brown, too. Not convinced Detroit is looking at those two, but they'd fit the mold of what the team may be looking for (though there's always the asking price, seems a little rich for me).

@Aportzline: #CBJ senior adviser Craig Patrick they have "more than 15" offers to consider on a handful of players, but "we don't like any of them yet." Edited by Tim.D

the good thing with those 2 guys are they are locked up for 2 more years at a respectable 3 mill cap hit ... so not just a rental

I just hope we drive Vancouver price up on who ever they get. And hopefully Holland deals with his buddies in Buffalo. I think we have the advantage over other teams if similar offers are made to Buffalo.
