The Ducks have signed right wing Teemu Selanne to a one-year contract through the 2012-13 NHL season. Per club policy, no financial terms of the deal were disclosed.

“While I’m still amazed by his speed and skill level, it’s Teemu’s love for the game and his teammates that make him so special,” said Executive Vice President/General Manager Bob Murray. “Anaheim is where he belongs.”

"And the best, I must confess, I have saved for the last, for the ruler of this Christmas land,

is a fearsome king with a deep mighty voice, least, that's what I've come to understand.

And I've also heard it told, that he's something to behold, like a lobster, huge and red!

When he sets out to slay with his rain gear on, carting bulging sacks with his big great arms, that is so I've heard it said.

And on a dark cold night, under full moon light, he flies into a fog like a vulture in the sky!

And they call him Sandy Claws!

Should we turn this into a "I don't care if he was only interested in signing with the Ducks, Kenny should have gone after him!" thread? Nah, probably not.

It's nice to see Teemu going for another year though. Would expect he'll still be in the top 3 in goals & points for the Ducks again this season.

This truly sucks! All of Winnipeg was hoping he'd come back here for 1 year and finish his career where he started it.

we'll just have to take pride in the fact that his 76 goal, 132 point season, he was a Jet.

No surprise there. Teemu had a great year and made it clear he didn't want to play anywhere else.

I've always liked Teemu and glad that he did resign for one more year as a Duck, though it would of been really cool if he signed withe the Jets for his last year

Good for him.
Think for yourself. Question authority. Throughout human history as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are or where we are going in this ocean of chance, it has been the authorities, the political, the religious, the educational authorities who attempted to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations, informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open mindedness, chaotic, confused vulnerability to inform yourself.

Good, glad I'll get another couple of chances to see him play next year.

They tell me that a Red Wing always flies.

Never really been a fan of the Ducks (aside from the movies of course) but Selanne's always been one of my favourite players. He's alot like Datsyuk, he plays the game right and everyone in the league just flat out respects the guy.
