Name me a Swedish goalie with a cup.

That's impossible, They don't exist.

Biggest bust in franchise history

LOL You do understand that most Goalies don't even mature until thy're 23 years old. And Cossa is 20 now

Do you understand how few goalies play a season in the echl and go on to be #1 goalies in the nhl? Its a very short list and then consider how many on that short list have played as poorly as Cossa. That list dwindles down to 1. The chance of Cossa having a long successful career in the nhl is slim imo let alone the elite #1 some were expecting.

Husso = average

Ned = sucks

Hellberg = backup

Okinura = sucks

Brattstrom = bust

Cossa = bust

Welp, its looking like we need to draft goalies again. Are their any good goalies in the draft this year that I can get hyped on? Really havent heard anything about this upcoming draft class yet.

Gylander = underrated prospect

Never waste high draft capital on goalers. Throw darts in the later rounds or trade r3 pick for a Husso/Ned.

Cossas a bust and at 15oa that stings.

It's almost as if developing goalies is this team's problem. When Howard is the best you can come up with in the last 15 years, it's a problem.

No prospects pan out. Goalies who had success and come here start off well and then regress quickly. We saw it with Ned, and now Husso looks very human as well.

Perhaps we get some new personnel involved before giving up on a kid with the tools Cossa has.

This team's drafting has improved. No dispute there.

We developed Howard AND Mrazek, but sure.

Also, we literally got a new goalie coach in Westlund this summer. He developed Samsonov and Vanacek for Hershey prior to us.

When Mraz took over from Howie we fired Bedard. New goalie, new coach? To appease Petr? That was probably a big mistake.

Husso is solid, new Howard. He regressed from his amazing first month back to average, which shouldve been expected.

Ill defend Ned by saying he hasnt gotten nearly enough reps this year to get his game going. So I liked the GR conditioning stint. But also come on man, youre not a prospect anymore. Theres no room for a goalie on any NHL team that needs 10+ games to get going.

It will be interesting to see what happens with Ned. His trade value is slim to none right now. Does he willingly take a big pay cut to stay here this summer? I can see Detroit walking away from him this offseason unfortunately...
