Yeah too much puck watching going on, I think board play is the biggest issue in the d zone specifically with our dmen. Other than Chiarot Seider and Walman no one else seems to consistently handle it well. Stop wrapping guys up Cough Cough Petry, Holl.. just give them a good shove and if it's not gonna put heads into the boards make sure your knocking these forwards on the ice. Other than that I have nothing to complain about puck movement has been great & offensively it looks like we are hitting our stride again. I think it be a good time for Yzerman to make a move. Inject a bit of confidence in the boys and let our young guys get a taste of the playoffs. It would really bode well for next season no doubt.

Yep, we need to go for it. This team is playing too well to let them flounder for another offseason. They need to be playing playoff hockey. Seider needs it, Raymond needs it, and Larkin REALLY needs it.

Bad 2nd period cost us the game, We basically owned the 1st and 3rd periods.

agree but unlike past years this team seems to keep trying. Down 3 going into the third other years it might have ended up 7 -2 or worse. Had they had gotten Fishers goal called back they would have tied the game.

I am buckling in for a bumpy ride into April and hoping for a sneak into the playoffs at W2...

Yzerman has brought that back we've got a great pipeline coming up and I'm sure he'll make some sort of splash this summer. I'm not expecting this team to make the playoffs but I think we could win the division as soon as next season with the right moves.

I agree Ed is ready, only thing his game is missing at this point is more grit.

Exactly.  I'm not saying Edvinsson is going to come in and be Seider part 2.  He's not.  He's going to come in and make a lot of boneheaded mistakes that 20 years olds make.  But he's NOT going to get out skated and he's NOT going to be out of position constantly.  His reach and his skating ability is going to give another pairing of ours the ability to not get cycled on.  And that i can live with.  I can't stand watching the other team do the harlem globe trotter thing on us while Gost, Petry, and Chiarot are on the ice.  These guys SUCK.  It's obvious they SUCK.  Look at any metric you want - it says they SUCK.  Why do we have to compound a problem?  Ok Steve, you did what you could and signed who you could?  Cool.  It didn't work out.  Now give it up and play our best players that give us the best chance to win.
