#2347262 Brad Stuart destroys Gabriel Landeskog

Posted by Crashnburnluder on 26 January 2013 - 06:30 PM

Haha Brad get's smoked in that fight. Only time I might agree with the Sharks announcers but why is it everytime a big hit is delivered like that something like that happens?

Like it's a league standard now for someone to come after you if you lay out a big hit.

I agree but at the same time... it is there captain and young star.. I can understand standing up for him... Probert and McCarty would have throttled anybody for laying out Yzerman like that....

can we please stop saying Lidstrom, we would only be setting our selves up to get crushed when we sign a Aging Vet Dman who is currently playing in the AHL

NHLPA won't accept the deal as is, there will still be some back and forth negotiating just hopefully good faith and reasonable negotiations...

#2334910 New fan.. need advice

Posted by Crashnburnluder on 28 November 2012 - 10:40 PM

Like many others have said, watch.... That's the best way to learn.. I can sit here and explain offsides and it would seem some what foreign... Watch what offsides looks like a couple times on TV and it starts to become more clear...

The best part is once you start learning the game and how it's played, you will slowly learn the little things players do that make them that much better then the rest of the guys on the ice.

Just watch hockey, and watch it as much as possible...

Aha, so they are willing to give up more seasons? That's good news...!

Can't the NHL just use replacement players till the solution is resolved??

Falco and the 7up guy said they will give it a go...? Lol

#2329042 Wings to Europe: Tracking which DRW players are playing where

I like the idea of Filppula playing over in Finland for Jokerit... That means he will be playing with Pulu... great chance for Pulu to learn how to be an NHL'er and train with one... I think that could be a very good thing for him

#2322339 Doan staying in PHX 4 yrs $21.2 mill

Posted by Crashnburnluder on 26 July 2012 - 09:41 PM

Doan is going to command 5.5-6.5 million per year I think

From the prices I have seen, I'm thinking its going to be closer to the 6.5 million mark. I for one don't want Doan locked up until 38 at close to 7 million per. I think thats WAY to high of a price for a 50 points guy. Yes he brings some pretty good intangibles but to me it isn't worth it.

I know this is going to seem like a farfetched comparison but we pay Filppula under 4 million who just reached 60+ points and is younger by a good margin. Although Filppula does not have the grit and toughness intangibles that Doan has. I would have to say that his defense game and 2 way play is a pretty big intangible in its self.

Doan is not worth the money cause he isn't a one year contract. Next season we will need money to Sign a 1-2 D man, Resign Filppula, Smith, Nyquist, White, and Kindl. Then we also have probably one of the biggest raises of next season in Jimmy Howard. I understand everyone wanted to Spend big on players but besides Suter we need to allow our kids to come up and also pay the players that deserve it. Filppula, Howard, and hopefully Smith and Nyquist.

#2316405 Semin

Posted by Crashnburnluder on 06 July 2012 - 03:03 PM

I do not see him sigbing a one year deal, if we want Semin we are going to need to show more faith in him than any other team. 3-4 year term between 4-6 million... I know that's a big risk but lets face it the high reward part of this is sky high. The talent is there, the question is how often under a new coach. I think we should give him the chance. It's worth the risk in my mind especially at a 4-t million dollar cap hit... Worst case scenario is he stays around 50-60 points (which I doubt) but I bet he is 1st or 2nd on our team with goals those 3-4 years... Just my 2 cents

If were going to trade... I want it to be yandle and sign Semin... Not hating on Nash but our assets need to go to our future number 1 d man

Even if we dont get Parise, give me Semin instead... Even at the same cap hit at least we wont be losing assets.
